Never trust anyone who says you won something. Don't connect your wallet to the fake pancake swap or any other shady  website. Only use the contract address straight from the real  website, yes,  Never store your seed phrases in your phone. Turn off dapps, make sure you disconnect your wallet from pancake swap after you are done using it. Never sell or send coins that just show up in your wallet. Never trust airdrops, Never give out your seed phrases, even to family, just put it in your will incase you die. Never tell people what is in your wallet, you may become a person the hackers and scammers focus on. Never trust anyone online, including any of the advice I am giving you. Turn on transaction signing and password.

In short, remain a lowkey person. Before I'm too proud to tell almost everything but as the year passes by. I'm the one who starts to become quiet with my progress. It's a very prouding moment when you're telling your achievements to others but it'll eventually make you think if you really have to. And before, I'm also a person that keeps important details on my phone like the seed phrase but I've learned that it's a crazy idea. It's still better to do it traditionally through writing and keeping it on a safer place.

I'm thinking with these advise you are listing you want to share an experience with users to make the advise really teaching to readers.

Never tell people what is in your wallet, you may become a person the hackers and scammers focus on.

I don't believe this, I think there are people or person you can tell but the most important thing is not to expose your passphrase because even hackers can't have access to it if you don't disclose important feature or clue to your password. The advice therefore should be to be careful with not exposing of your password.

Well, you have to set privacy for your own account and password, because that is the only way you become responsible on your own accounts. Exposing them is always a big NO as it only brings danger in the later part. And do trust yourself more than you trust others. Since in this world of uncertainties, there is no one who can trust but only yourself. Be more responsible on the things you can't afford to lose.

That is likewise my point that exposing of the password is what is very wrong to do because is one step to getting your account hacked. If you don't expose your account then it will be difficult to someone you told to do anything partainng to hacking your account. If you go online and expose your email address password you have exposed yourself to danger that you don't know the effect, that is hacking so to me, if you tell ut to someone is less risky than exposing your password.

Would be just common sense that you would be mindful in terms of security of your coins since its money or does have value then it would really be just normal that you would really be minding
and do all sorts of things for those coins to be safe. Some people do really end up on being that too paranoid when it comes to security which i couldnt really blame off.Storing your keys on
the cloud is just suicide.Nothing beats on having that airgapped rather than on other means of storage which is too easy to exploit on.

There’s no valid reason to give your seed phrase to anyone, this is the first rule to protect your wallet and seriously, you should know your activities and you can’t just win without doing anything, so track your activities.

You should only give your public address, and deal with the legit projects. If its too good to be true, avoid at all cost.

Last year, I posted about how some scam airdrop tokens were made to steal people's tokens (Beware of Airdrops that will drain tokens out of your address.

Each passing day, new sophisticated scam come up and people must be extra vigilant. I personally don't see the value of airdrops except to scam people and make the shitcoin appear to have a high number of holders or trading volume if listed in an exchange.

Don't keep a huge amount of your coin on any exchange it looks like storing your luggages in a hotel while they got the keys to the room and feel that your belongings are safe. Same thing is applicable to cryptocurrency, exchanges feels safe but, anything can occur along the line and they will be nobody to meet for safety. If possible change the password to your wallet every week, that is if you feel cool about that. Secure your bank the way bankers do to the banking hall.

My advise as well is don't used your main wallet to any activity specially when it comes to swap sites in order to prevent hack.. Because connecting  your wallet in any swap site is very skeptical to be honest, wherein once you confirm the message to connect your wallet successfully it means your letting them to see your public address.

So be aware and always and dont used your main wallet to anything. Make a back up instead for such activities, i mean a new wallet that can be use in anything and no need to worry afer all.

All of you've mentioned, an airdrop is very prone to scams and it's vulnerable to hacking.
If you really wanted to be an airdrop hunter, just separate your main wallet from the wallet that you've used in chasing airdrop even though when you want to connect your wallet to the dapp or any swapping platform always use a dummy wallet which is you shouldn't use your main wallet.

Be vigilant always as my advice, we never know who are those around us and what's their motive to us.
Store your seed in a safe place and threaten your crypto asset as your valuable stuff and maybe you're safe.

Your suggestions are timely because there are so many types of cheaters on the market right now. If someone claims your secret privacy from you, you should avoid that person without hesitation. You will not be able to connect your accounts to any new site unnecessarily, as this can do you a lot of harm. So do not divulge your privacy to anyone.

Unfortunately, even with several advice, a newbie will always be a newbie. There will be a time when they need to experience painful situations before learning anything. With that experience, they will now finally avoid it in the future.

I salute those newbies who are using their common sense. They are being responsible despited being new to the whole idea of exploring everything about cryptocurrency.

You are right, but it will always be prevented. That's why I really admire those newbies who have basic knowledge on security or identifying scams online, even it is not crypto-related but their common sense is already there.

That's why for me, I will not accept a reason "sorry I'm just a newbie" at all because in the first place, "you know you are a newbie, why you did it?"

Good advice especially to newbies however I think those kind of things were basics and just like more of a "common sense" just like what other users said. In regards with airdrops yes there's a lot of scam in airdrops some projects will ask you to verify your identity through KY, some projects will ask you to send a small amount first like $1 to receive the airdrop (Imagine thousands of people sending $1) and lastly the random coins you will see on your wallet, don't ever go to those coin's website they are all scams.

Yea, just never trust anything in general. Especially when it comes to money. The only thing you're supposed to trust is in your judgment, and to do that, just do your own research. Always, check three times, and if you're still doubtful, check it again. The thing is, most people that get scammed are either pure carelessness or just simply because they are scared. Might be because of taking responsibility. Getting scammed really actually just gives them an excuse for their actions.

Never trust anyone who says you won something.

this would sound stupid if you have not joined anything yet you win? but if you literally joining some events then check those if you really won something.

this sounds like some service provider in cellular phone in which some scammers sending notice that you won something and needs your details.

Don't connect your wallet to the fake pancake swap or any other shady  website.
always Save the site you tend to use , because this will also save your ass from scam or hack site.

Thank you for all advices mate, this is really a big help .

Never give out your seed phrases, even to family, just put it in your will incase you die.

But do make sure your lawyer doesn't have direct access to your seed otherwise they can just sweep the funds for themselves and easily get away by feigning ignorance and "you must have had poor cybersecurity" card. If you're going with lawyer route, I think it's better to just put on clear instructions on where and how to retrieve the seed.

There’s no valid reason to give your seed phrase to anyone, this is the first rule to protect your wallet and seriously, you should know your activities and you can’t just win without doing anything, so track your activities.

You should only give your public address, and deal with the legit projects. If its too good to be true, avoid at all cost.

I agree, but this also raises that old question of how can we make it so that if the person dies, other family members can benefit from bitcoin left by the dead, this has become a very difficult task and without a safe solution until today

in my opinion the safest would be if there was a bank to hold the funds in case of the person's death the bank would contact the relatives

These aren't new advice actually. But everything gets fail when we can't control our greedy behavior. When you have been using social media means always you will receive random messages with phishing links. There would be many greedy offers, don't fall on that. There is no such money-making machine. And be careful one you are visiting adult sites. Most of the attacks coming from there. You can't multiply your fund over the night. And never store private keys or seeds on your device.
