Last month I’ve made a deposit of 567 eos there and even today I haven’t got my money back. I called twice, I contacted support, but all of them tell me “we have escalated” and that they can’t provide me any details for security reasons. What security reasons? It is what they say when they have no reasons to lock your money and they give this reply and keep your money locked. I reported them to SEC and I do intend to go for legal actions. There are lots of prob bono lawyers out there. If you don’t want any headaches, don’t trust this company. There are so many unhappy customers with even 40k$ locked. They don’t care about their customers and my advice is to avoid this company if you don’t want headaches.
On TrustPilot website, there are so many complaints and 67% with bad reviews. All of them have same problem as I have. Be careful with this company

Uhm that is odd, from all the exchanges out there Kraken appears to have the most solid support and their CEO is quite transparent on some topics[1] (a stance that isn't adopted that often between CEO's within the field). Are you sure that you've accessed to the real Kraken websiste ? It should be this one -> https://www.kraken.com/

Try Binance or Fybit. Binance does not block funds, but it may one day charge you a double commission when withdrawing, otherwise, there are no complaints. Fybit has no complaints at all so far, everything works great.

That's quite unfortunate for you. I have never used them before, but this is the problem with centralized exchanges. They can block and unblock accounts at any time they want.

Try Binance or Fybit. Binance does not block funds,
And who told you Binance does not block?

Maxxx07 is an advertising shill or part of Fybit which is a shady practice. OP, Don't even bother considering using the unknown exchange.

I know nothing about Kraken, but another exchange (Paxful, based in NY) even complies with the Philippines National Police.

https://www.reddit.com/r/paxful/comments/swbuvt/my_account_has_been_blocked_by_philippine/

It seems international agreements on crypto have been made between many countries, and your money on exchanges can be messed with by all kinds of parties around the world.

It's quite strange because they don't tell you in detail why locking your funds there, because usually if the exchange will freeze the funds will ask its users to show proof of the origin of the coin, unfortunately you face this, have not used Kraken for a long time, and that is the obstacle that CEX users are very likely to face frozen funds for all kinds of reasons or KYC submissions that are complicated.
You should keep contacting them until your funds can be released.

You can't do much by taking legal action and hiring lawyers, the amount is too small to open a case, and the platform is known to SCAM for that amount.
So make sure of the following:

 - Did you use the correct domain?
 - Did you read the terms of service and make the best use of the platform?
 - What is the support team's response? Did you contact them using another email?
 - Did you try to raise your problem on the Reddit? Twitter?

Finally, the support team is the only one who can solve your problem.
