Im sure that both will succeed in 3 years from now and why? metaverse was still on its early development. There are lots of chance for the metaverse project to go even bigger than this time. Remember that metaverse is not only about creating the virtualk world that makes people can interact from one to the each other. It's also providing an infrastructure for people to do economic activities in the virtual world as well. The banks are also eyeing metaverse right now. This must become a very strong reason why those metaverse project will be successful in the future. I do believe another ATH will be reached once bitcoin reach another ATH again.
As long as bitcoin will be very bullish and new ATH was not just a dream. You can compared marketcap of sand combined with mana to the doge coin. Doge coin has more marketcap than both.

It depends on the acceptance of the investors for Metaverse idea by that time. As you can see what happened on DeFi after few years it was introduced, Most DeFi project pump massively on there peak failed to recover on reaching the new ATH on the latest bull run because the trend is already over with them and currently focus on NFT games and Metaverse. This things might happened to on the Metaverse section if there's crypto trends that will appear that might overshadow them. Everybody believes that DeFi will gonna last long but look at most them now.

They are one of pioneers and best Metaverse projects now. If they fail, it will be very likely that something wrong with Metaverse. I think Metaverse is something big for gaming, financing, blockchain and social media too so I don't see how Metaverse will fail.

3 years is a long time enough to test a project or a trend. With the fast operation of blockchain industry, I think we will get answer for your question in next few years, probably less than 3. As I expressed my opinion, I believe that Metaverse won't fail but not sure about Sandbox or Decentraland. I wish them succeed of course but let's see

Metaverse projects are still early project. Don't you see even JP morgan interested to buy land and open its service in the virtual world? This is enough to be used as a real proof if metaverse has very bright future. Im even very bullish with both. Yes, that's the point, Metaverse still has a big opportunity as a virtual world in the future as long as big company advertising is still supported and the existence of SAND continues to be developed, we believe everything will run successfully in the next 3 years. SAND is a coin worth it that has a high value as the king of the metaverse in crypto. Metaverse is integrated with Defi, NFT and other networks. this is why existence will continue to exist because of the running ecosystem

Both of those coins are doing pretty ok at the moment for my standards. Both of them are trading of around 1/10 of the price which they had during the big bull market of 2 years ago. If you compare those numbers, with the ones even from bigger projects then they have not lost that dramatically in price because others are down even more.
If they can reach their ATH again or even reach new way higher ATH's i can not say, because the crypto market is still very much driven by hype and trends. Back then the metaverse was one of the biggest hype topics. I doubt that, this will still be the case in 2 or 3 years, but i would guess that those 2 projects are already to big to fail and will at least pump with the overall market when a bullrun comes.

It's all speculation but I see some value in this space.  Whether or not these 2 coins will survive is anyone's guess.  Sometimes the first on the scene are in the driver's seat, other times they set the stage for bigger projects to come along and solve what they couldn't.  I will have to take a look further into these 2 coins.

Depends on the development, isn't it? I mean if they keep on developing then there is no reason why they shouldn't succeed, but if they are exactly what it is right now, then there is no way they can achieve anything. First of all everyone mocked the design and the graphics, that has to change because I rather play Minecraft than play this, it makes no sense, secondly we could also have more to do, just showing off and a few other stuff isn't enough, we need a "world" here to make it a verse, otherwise its just a museum of sorts individually and nothing more. All in all, they do have potential, but they have a lot of work in front of them to ever mean anything in the future as well.

If both will fail I doubt it will be in 3 years time, people still believe we have not scratched the surface of Metaverse and explored its full potential. Another thing is that both have huge treasuries to help them succeed, Sandbox raise money last year and I believe it will help them though it depends on their burn rate. Unless something like a black swan event occurs, I can see both still commanding huge market cap in the coming bull market

Not a single chance in reality. They are terrible projects that got attention because metaverse was a thing for a while and a lot of people shown some interest towards them during the peak time. But now that we know that's not that easy and metaverse is not a buzzword anymore, we know that it's not going to happen like that. Just face the fact that we are going to live in a world where metaverse can't be done with the tech we have and we need better graphics and for that we need better machinery to build and be in it.

It will take about a decade but some techs are worth to spend money on and wait long time just to get there, eventually we will end up with something much better and then we can talk about a better project.

I've been optimistic with these projects during the NFT craze but honestly, they're the first that has that virtual world and I think that Gala is also one of them.
A year has passed since the thread has been posted and there have been a lot of things that has happened already.
If it's for the tech and the game from these projects, they're optimistic to see on what's with the future of these games but I think the timing was perfect but then the market was just too hardcore on them because of how the bear market approached.
Although it wasn't really bloody scary at all unlike and compared to the past years.
