Who Can Review This Site?

Looking at this site, you wouldn't know that it once earned thousands of USD. Please check the site for me and suggest ways to get it back on its feet.

Background:

I started this site as a news site but switched to reviews due to the demand of content for news sites. The review was very successful and started earning thousands of $ after less than a year of launch. Unfortunately, there was a Google update that dropped the traffic and I abandoned the site. I'm considering building it back up and need suggestions.

Should I stick to news or continue with news and reviews or only reviews? What I noticed recently is that it easily ranks with reviews than news even after the update.

Thanks for your inputs. I've been implementing your proposals but there is still one issue. For instance, I first published this article as a breaking news, but this site got ranked after probably rewriting my content. Here are the original from my site and the rewrite.

Why would Google not know that the story originated from my site?
Is there something I'm still missing?
I also have redesigned the site, especially the homepage to have more content on it.

To me it looks like a generic WordPress site running WPeMatico pulling in articles from other sources.
I have one doing the same thing. So there is no original content, if google indexes something and then sees the exact same content someplace else you will never be listed in any meaningful way.
And since you are just pulling articles from other places and not linking back to the original content it's actually plagiarism. Much like here, that will get you a permaban from being listed with / earning with Google.
There are sites / services that will let you monetize with what you have, but the bigger ones will not.

here are a few suggestions at a glance
First, it is always better to use your own original article, rather than to take it from other sites. you are always the second to post something and Google threatens you as less unique. DaveF is already explained well.
You need to improve your on-page SEO. you are missing many things, things important for Google ranking. For example, you haven't Google analytics.
Your content is not SEO optimized. Research more about "thin content", it is very possible that this is the reason why Google is pushing you aside.
Also, you have some mess with meta and H1 tags. somewhere you miss them, and somewhere you have too many.
some of the page links are too long, search engines don't see it as friendly.

it looks like you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed, but probably not well-tuned.
of course, backlinks from domains with high or solid ratings are always appreciable.

The domain name seems closer to a news site than a site to display reviews, and therefore if you want to convert to a site that displays reviews, it is better that it be separate or at least a subdomain of it.

I do not think that news sites generate a good return, so it is better for you to develop and update the site, and then get your own content and then you can achieve a good return.

Some BTT users have tried this idea before and haven't been able to get a good traffic.

this is the wrong direction. the domain does not necessarily represent the content of the site. also, whatever he would do as a subdomain it is essentially like launching a new domain-site. all the value and recognizability of the domain is ignored for subdomains.

subdomains are great when you want to have two or more separated applications on a domain or any other two or more different services but never to separate different content.

Hello Newchanka, I just take a look at the site and I would say the problem is the design. That page doesn't invite us to stay there. The content is good I know isn't your own content but the sources are good, so, with a good WordPress template, you could increase the traffic for sure.

Good point, it would cover the main agenda or initial purposes of the site. It is better to separately make another and not go with subdomain.

As for the site, for me it's a news more than a review, I don't see any reply box or stars given like any reviews site that I have ever been. Is it just me or I am being too naive.

I can't give you an answer, but I can give you some guesses.

1) If your site was already down in google rankings and the other one is crawled / linked more it may have seen it 1st
2) Your site is not optimized for google so it's way down there on the to-do list for their crawler bots.
3) You have something misconfigured on your google webmaster tools and the crawlers are waiting for you to fix it.

as far as I can see on this site, that article was published today (17. May.'22). I think it is a very short deadline for any visible result by google. I wouldn't worry much if your text was original and first published, Google will recognise that for sure.

I checked by Grammarly plagiarism detector for a small piece of text from thecryptobasic.com article, and he finds me 100% plagiarized text.
For example 33% from this source https://cryptonews.net/news/altcoins/6667763/

I would definitely listen to the advice given by DaveF and I would add a link to the original source of the article, this way you are always at risk of being penalized by search engines (probably Google). keep in mind that Google will not sanction you immediately, it can happen after a few months.

Well, its domain rating is very low though traffic is good up to 1,7K mostly from Nigeria
The hint to low DR is probably that domain had penalty in May Core Update in 2020.
