IMHO, I think it's not good if Bitcoin will be banned in the EU countries because the EU is a big market for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, and im sure that it can bring negativity to the crypto industry as well. but luckily it will not happen because according to the latest information that was provided says that the regulators only want to make it more energy effiecient so based on that pronouncement I presume that they agree on some sort of solution to that energy problem and maybe the Proof of Stake can fix that.

3 years from now, do you think that those legislator or the party in position will still there? they might die or leave their position those days.

don't be too much alarmed mate because there are so many things that might happen in the next years.

I am still believe that in days come? for sure adoption is what we will have and not banning.

There are more to come in that 3 years so let it happen for our own benefits .

I think for now the issue has been resolved after it has been voted for and against, so placing a ban is a thing of the past but the challenges now is on the regulation, they are seriously not taking it likely in this aspect, because since they cant win through the PoW energy consumption and it carbon waste on the environment, regulation is their big target for catch. And am well convinced the bitcoin network will make through this.

The EU is keenly looking into creating their own CBDC and are actively working on the matter. While they are no China and aren't nearly as heavy handed as China, I imagine they too would not be too happy with a competitor they cannot fully control, so while I doubt there would be an all-out ban of Bitcoin (and crypto in general), I imagine we will be seeing some pretty strict regulation of cryptocurrencies in the region in the future. I don't think regulation is necessarily a bad thing, as it will prevent at least some of the scams, but who knows what other effects it will have.

Proposal Limiting Proof-of-Work Is Rejected in EU Parliament Committee Vote
https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2022/03/14/proposal-limiting-proof-of-work-is-rejected-in-eu-parliament-committee-vote-sources/

They voted 30-23
Such a decision can be considered a big victory for the cryptocurrency and its supporters. States are already forced to reckon with the interests of a large number of the population using cryptocurrency. But, of course, the states will continue the practice of tightening its regulation, there is no doubt about it. Also, similar restrictions on cryptocurrencies using the PoW algorithm may still be applied in individual states. The confrontation between cryptocurrencies and states will continue for a long time.
