Hi,
I have been mining on NewPac for a while now and I've been adding NewPacs to my farm every so often but it seems the miners are unavailable or if they are available, it is on ebay secondhand at nearly $500 per USB stick. I was buying NewPacs for about $100 each at one stage.

Is there an alternative reasonable cost, low power, small scale devices to fill this market niche?

R.

If you are looking for small-scale devices try to look for a block erupter USB stick it is like the same as 2pac or newpac but the speed is pretty low compared to that two USB miners.

Or check Futurebit apollo it's a miner with a full node or or Block Erupter Cube.

If the size doesn't matter try to look for Antminer s1 I see a few sellers from eBay selling it for around $100.

Bear in mind that the only one from the above list thats remotely efficient is the Apollo. The others are very old and will definitely not earn more than there cost to run them unless your electricity cost is free.

Wouldn't is just make sense to suggest the current sidehack USB miner CompacF which does 260GH/s to 390GH/s or more on a single chip?

Thanks.

Right now for home mining there's basically 2 options the Compac F and the Apollo.

Stock always keep changing with the Compac F, so you need to keep looking.

There's currently stock here at $250: https://www.419mining.com/shop/miners/gekkoscience-compac-f/

These USB miners are basically the best and most current USB miners. Each one produces around 300GH/s and can be very quiet (you need to provide your own custom cooling like a USB fan for example)

If you want something faster, then for home mining the other alternative is the Apollo BTC, which can generate about 1.5TH/s basically silent if you run it at 30% and you provide your own quiet PSU. If you turn on the power it can get up to 4+TH/s but the fan gets crazy

It's amazing we still have small miners being products to be honest. Hopefully they will continue to get excess ASIC chips in the future.
