Binance donates $10 million to support Ukraine (UPD: and sanctions Russians!)

Ukraine is now in dire need of any practical support, as the Russians are shelling residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, killing women and children. To date, 352 civilians of Ukraine have been killed, including 24 children.
But the Ukrainians did not give up a single large city. The equipment of the Russians, which breaks through, it is almost immediately destroyed not only by the armed forces of Ukraine, but also by the civilian population with “Molotov cocktails”.

During the four days of the war, the Ukrainians destroyed about 5,300 invaders, 191 tanks, 29 combat aircraft, 29 attack helicopters, 816 armored vehicles, 74 cannons, 21 Grad multiple rocket launchers, 291 vehicles.
Russia has never had such losses. Russia is on the verge of collapse - economic, military and political. Putin's regime miscalculated by attacking Ukraine.

and besides how can you be so sure about Ukraine falling towards the invasion ? remember that almost the world country are supporting them for their stand?

I'm not very focused right now, but I think I didn't find a topic about this. Forgive me if it was already posted. Binance announced on Twitter that they're donating $10 million to express their support with Ukraine. They are now gathering donations for the Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund here. The usage of cryptocurrencies and crypto businesses are starting to become relevant in the ongoing Russian invasion. Fewer and fewer areas are holding their apolitical stance, even if they used to be apolitical before. I wonder who will be next. It's interesting how Buterin will react, given that he's originally from Russia.

Crypto definitely has it's place in wartime as it bypasses traditional banking systems and currencies, however, when there aren't many options to turn that crypto into real-life things (food, etc..) then it, unfortunately, falls short. This is not the case here, Binance is donating in dollars and that will go a long way, but it does urge everyone to push for more crypto acceptance and options in peacetime because those options will have to function in the event of war. Anyway, a great initiative from the Binance leadership.

I am happy that the exchange Binance and Vitalik is giving humanitarian attention and donations in solidarity with Ukraine, also I am concerned about the tensions of the Russia-Ukraine war because many people in Ukraine have to take shelter in subway stations all day out of fear and they hardly ever see the sun.

But we also see the bloodshed that took place in Palestine in the eternal war without end, Do they also deserve donations and attention from important people of the crypto community, regardless of differences in religion, ethnicity, and nationality.

10 million is a lot of money even if for binance that is already a top exchange, they also earned that money in a hard way so I don't think they will feel good the same as we feel just because the news looks positive as it about helping the other country and the medium that they use is crypto. Don't worry mate but the money could surely go to the right people because we can see how Ukrainian move or their government is not as bad as others out there.

Let us not compare our corrupt government to theirs because the gap is too far away. Next time if you know that your local officials are corrupt, you should have handed the money directly on the people that need it.

 Well, Im excited with the movement of Binance and their supporting fund for Ukraine.  We all know this is about the humanitarian, but the real question is.  Why all people didn't care when Palestine is bombed by Israel.  They killed many people out there, from old to baby.  They destroy many mosques and houses even the hospital.  Why nobody cares about it?  PPB make an urgent meeting to find solution for Russia and Ukraine, but They dont care with Palestine and others Islamic countries.

Donation fundraising or allocation is not too hard. Binance can use their budget for donation and it will be done quickly. Donation fundraising can hit target quickly too. Unfortunately, with the escalating war, lots of damages on infrastructures for transportations, etc. in Ukraine and also risk of mistakenly damages by the war from both sides, donation distributions by any mean would be difficult and can not be done too soon.

Binance and some big exchanges are doing good things to help Ukrainians as well as to wisely advertise their exchanges to people over the world.

Therefore at the end of the day we have to understand that it's the sick political situation that makes everything worse for people that they end up in a horrible situation. I had to run from Ukraine 3 days back from Ivano frankivsk and stand on the border for hours before they let me in with my 2 cats. What Russia is doing is horrible. All my savings, my house that I rent everything is now gone. I do hope people continue to make sure gracious donations because Ukraine does need it. NATO is not going to help and WW3 can be there any moment, I literally do not know what's going to happen now.

only mentally ill people want chaos, everyone wants to live peacefully and without tension. binance is very generous in making donations with that much money, hopefully, it will be useful for war victims. Exactly! Big slap on the faces of people that keeps talking negative things about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies during these tough times between the Ukraine and Russia conflict.

I don't think it is a question of who donated first but about the overall generosity of the action by Binance and every other institution or individuals that are donating to help the country and by the way, 1000 token of what? 1000 BTC or ETH or what? you never specify.

:)Wow such a horrible experience, there is never gain in war and as I have always said it is better to negotiate war is not a good experience and the world is not ready for WW3 at the moment I know this Ukraine and Russia battle is all political and have to do with the alliance, NATO should sign Ukraine to become a member so as to enjoy the 100% support needed to push the fight through because this is an invasion and Russia may not back down.

This is so heart warming. Binance is really a great help for all Ukranian people. It can be said that there is no greater pleasure in life than to find the capacity and willingness to help others. It will not only gives you a great satisfaction and fullfillment, but you will also find that when you are in situation( like what Ukranian have experienced).
