We are busy trying to improve our living conditions and make them what we deserve. We are busy traveling, learning from Europeans and growing as people. We are engaged in the fight against corruption on our own, without asking for Russia`s help. Are you really sure that Russia is so concerned about the fate of the people in Donbass? Are you sure that the Russians have mastered their own problems so damn perfect that they have already reached the level of "helping" (read "commanding", "ordering", "dictating") how to live in other countries?

EVERY country in the world has (and/or will) bomb civilians if need to. You think Americans didn't? Google the Yokohama air raid in WW2. They bombed an entire city with no military nor industrial targets, mostly built on bamboo and rice paper, with INCENDIARY (mostly Napalm and white phosphorus) BOMBS. Does that sound like a country that respects civilians to you? How about the firebombings of Tokio, Osaka, a,d many other Japanese cities? Or what about Dresden, Hamburg (again, both entirely civilian cities), and the virtual leveling of Berlin? Are German civilians somehow "less human" than others?
And finally, what about Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Have you heard about them?
But that was in WW2, and people like you have a tendency to believe (or try to make others believe) that the dead are less dead if they were murdered a long time ago. What about Viet Nam? Or Afghanistan? There are countless reports about bombings of entire villages by American troops.

If you want to live in a free, independent country, than it is your job to fight for it. When someone comes to your house, armed and attacking, you defend. Or you die. Ukrainian people don`t wanna die. And living under Putin`s regime is much worse than even dying. That is the reason for us to struggle till we win.

There are civilians that are dying right now. They are dying because Russia throws bombs at Ukrainian cities and civilian objects. Not because the government ordered them to join the army. The majority of the population of Ukraine chose the struggle themselves, it is their own choice, because they are aware of the purpose of their struggle. Can`t say the same about Russian army.

               While I agree with you, I think I understand why people still volunteer despite being afraid. They are fighting for something and that is freedom. Ukraine lacks a lot of man power and as a citizen of their own country, they can understand that it is their responsibility to fight for their motherland because of not, who will? And if not now, then when? The others only help with donation but not with physical soldiers. Rather than seeing them as people making db decisions, I honestly feel amazed and have high respect for them for ignoring fear for the sale of what they believe in, for their motherland.

The truth is, this is not how things work when you have to defend your homeland from an occupying army. You should consider yourself lucky if you have never faced this challenge. I grew up in the former Yugoslavia, and even though I was very young, I remember well the war in the 1990s when almost all the adult men in my family were recruited and joined the defense of our homeland. There are not many options in such situations, you can either flee the country with your family or stay and defend it with your life. Personally, I would choose the latter.

I think that mainly brainwashed Russians think that their army don't bomb civilians and targeting only military objects. I sometimes turn on their propaganda machine on TV and it's scary to see what they're showing. It's not even allowed to use word ''war'' there, they call it ''special military operation''. They have barely no victims. And they're trying to prove that people in Ukraine live their life as usual, like there is no war.

You could become a joke if Russian troops did not kill people and destroy cities in Ukraine now. The war began because Russia no longer has options to distract its own poor population from real problems. And there are no more options than to create a sense of self-greatness for people in total poverty. There is simply nothing to base it on, there is no real reason. Therefore, artificial ones are created. And this artificial basis for greatness is the destruction of other nations. This is the only way Russia can be confident.

It will be dumb thinking that innocent civilians will not become victims of this war, and it is them i'm sincerely sorry for, the discomfort they are facing been displaced from their homes and their daily activities disrupted, is enormous. Had the government of United States handled things better without adding salt occasionally to the injury, i feel it will not have resulted to this ugly current situation, they have slyed Ukraine into this war and now innocent civilians now turned freedom fighters for country are now paying with their lives, very unfortunate.
