For starters, you should realize that people learn at different pace. Intuitions and IQs differ as humans differ too. So, your grasping prowess may not be the same as others. It could either be higher than others or lower. Don't expect everyone to grasp at things at the same level. Having said all that, concerning your post, do you've any statistics to support your assertion of "most of the Members and Jr. Members having the mindset of newbies" or it's just a blanket assumption?

Hurry in Rank up to the next rank, did not take any extra time to read the pinned thread or other useful threads, they choose to write a new topic than reading, these are the examples why other user here in forum did not familiarize or know the rules and regulation here in our community. As a newbie you should not be hurry to rank up, you need to take time to read some useful threads and the best thing is post less and read more .

It is so true. Newbie members are eager to rank up without any regard for the rules of the forum and sometimes simply ignore the warning signs when discussing topics outside of their comfort zone. To all newbie members, I would like to point out that there is no real reason for this. As a Newbie or Junior member, you can use the forum almost without restrictions. If you find a thread that interests you, you can read all posts in that thread without ranking. If you find that you have a question or something to say, you are more than welcome to share it, regardless of rank or your popularity with other members.

How cumbersome are these rules that one needs to spend a wholesome week/weeks in reading them? It necessarily need not reach a week to grasp it all about the rules here, even if one is a slow learner. For such a one I would rather not refer you as a slow learner but a lazy learner. That been said, I believe having first hand knowledge about the rules of engagement in a game is your first step from falling out in such game. So to my fellow newbie's it's not only compulsory but necessary you read through for all rules and regulations before rushing in for posts.

New members always come here in this thread and keep asking how to earn in this forum so that's why there's a lot of member would like not to focus with the benefits and source of information in the forum. Knowledge is the most good investment here once you think its good to share and accurate why not post it here and get merits that helps you to rank up immediately. At the first its hard where to start but once you engage to the forum other members guide you and by that use this as stepping stone to learn and get profit.

If you have an account on other forums before creating an account here you will be aware of how a forum works and that is to check the forum rules and how will it affect your account, but if this is your first forum account you'll be in trouble bypassing section that deals with forum regulations, that is why we have this section so newbies or newly created account will not get loss on how this forum works.

Rank doesn't even depend on if you've read the rules or not. It's going to mostly depend on how knowledgeable an actual user is. Though it's good if people did, but I'd say reading the rules aren't THAT mandatory anyway as it's very similar to the rules of most communities. Just don't do stupid stuff and you'll be fine.

you don't need to spend that much time reading the forum rules, as for other forum-related stuff you can learn/find out about it it as you go. anyway, just like what mk4 said reading the forum rules is not really mandatory but it would be best to read the rules before you/newbies actually join a discussion(which I recommend) to avoid getting in trouble.

Honestly, if the first thing one has to bear in mind before posting a question or an opinion is a set of rules, and on top of that, that they need a lengthy time to read and digest them, then there is/would be a problem here … Rank is a bypasser product here, and you don’t have to know the rules off by heart to toy with ranking-up, but rather have some barebone writing capabilities, and a certain amount of time to do so. That doesn’t meant that you shouldn’t whip through the rules, and just to be on the safe side, it would be manifestly better if they were made explicit upon signing-up (i.e. and email with a welcome message and the rules themselves).

When we sign up on forum as a newbie it's our responsibility to first explore the rules and regulations of that particular forum and post accordingly so as to avoid any mistakes in future.Second you must focus on increasing your knowledge and eventually you will gain next ranks. You will get activity if you are active on forum but will rank up only with merits and that can be achieved with good posts. So focus on them not ranking up.

That's what I thought. I didn't read the rules when I started using the forum, let alone for two weeks as the OP says. When I had been on the forum for a while I realized that there are some specificities here that there are not in other forums, for example regarding moderation, and I found the unofficial BCT rules, which I then read.

As far as I remember, I didn't even read the (unofficial) rules until more than years later when the mass plagiarism bans came around and became a very hot topic here lol. I guess it's just me being used to how forum communities work.

I believe reading the forum rules is very important, but taking two weeks just for forum rules is kind of much, forum rules are straightforward and simple so I believe it's very easy to understand and you don't have to spend so much time just to read forum rules. Most people in junior member, I don't think they really understand the forum rules, I believe if you are joining the forum you should always have the mindset of learning from the forum and not having the mindset of just ranking up, most people in junior member don't really understand the forum rules.

I would not completely agree with that, because there are a lot of Senior, Hero, and even Legendary members who have a beginner's mindset, and I'm sure most of them don't know the rules of the forum, nor are they interested in it. They came here for money, and that's all they care about. I have been visiting the forum for about a year as a guest, but even if I had not read the rules, the way I was raised would not allow me to plagiarize someone's post or article, or to buy or sell BTT accounts. In short, if you know how to behave in real life, I don't believe you can have problems on the forum.

Well using "most" is kind of harsh. It's like those members "accidentally" got out of newbie. Depending on how well one can read English, it can take less than a week to at least fully comprehend and apply the rules of the forum. Everyone has their own pacing when it comes to learning just like in any other fields. Even higher ranks are getting temporarily banned for various reasons and there were some I recall that did plagiarism but that does not make them a "newbie".

Why would you spend a whole week for learning about the rules?. I don't think that you will need a whole week just for the forum rules alone unless you don't know how to speak English and can understand it. Less than a week should be enough to learn about the rules. After that then the best thing to do next is to learn more about cryptocurrencies and blockchain related topics instead of focusing on ranking up which would only result in not following the rules and getting banned. Learning how to properly post a high or good quality post would benefit you to rank up easier.

Most of newbie joined Bitcointalk just for bounty purpose. They even did not know why this forum is used for. They have bo interest outside the bounty threads. I experienced many qlt accounts which create account just to join bounties. I know some people who cannot speak or write English and these kind of people will remain always newbie and will not recieve merit on POA post.

That adjective of newbie that is always used with a lot of charge of responsibility to the rules of the forum should not have such "weight," for example, I do not know what you want to say with the idea that a newbie should take 2 weeks to read the rules, it only takes A few minutes and in practice any user should take in any case, maybe a few days, even weeks to be used to their habit of posting, reading, learning ... Any newbie user who reaches the forum and behaves as he would in his right moral judgment, is enough, not to steal, "not kill," ( ) not threaten, not cheating, not copying, being polite, not proposing or trying to make gifts that he does not have or who does not know if it is allowed, etc. this are things primary school, family teaching or "principles of life," anyway, ah! Obviously there are exceptions to the rule as anywhere, then... How do you proceed? read the rules, today or at any time. I think to be honest that the rules read them few users, if you check the views do not correspond to the number of users of the forum, not counting that many of those who read them once they end up reviewing them several times.
