If ETH 2.0 happens dual mining will save the day, ETH + ALPH is now more profitable than mining just ETH and also ETH+TON but once ETH is down we will see RVN+ ALPH and ERGO+TON just for example, I'm expecting this from Trex devs as they are capable to.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I am also very interested to see this, but RVN mining is probably the hottest and switching to RVN + ALPH mode will overheat the video card a lot. TON mining will end in 4 months, I think that by this time Ethereum will not change the algorithm yet.

TON mining ends in less than 3 months, you see it on ton.org/mining

I think RVN+ALPH is not worth, because RVN need more core, so you have less power for ALPH. ERGO+TON or ALPH also not really possible, because of the tables building after every block, this action needs much core power. You see same think if you mine ETH+TON, if the GPU building the DAG for ETH - TON mining is suspended for this time.

You won't see ERGO+TON as they're both core intensive.. 1 algo needs to be mem intensive and 1 core intensive for dual mining to work.

Relax people ETH PoS will not happen, postponement is the only way forward for Ethereum and also Ravencoin can not be mine with another coin in dual mining mode because ravencoin on its own puts lot of stress on GPUs and takes lot of power too.

As i written.

And yes i say it since last year that we not seeing ETH 2.0 this year or next year. Vitalik must test this shit on Dogecoin first.

Ergo is not core intensive, it runs better with higher GPU core clock, but it use only a very small part of the GPU - this is why ERGO mining use less power than ETH. But the table building after every block is core intensive and this need nearly all resources of the GPU

With profitability rises comes more hashrate until an equilibrium is hit.  So while using today's stats trying to forward project is somewhat useful, whenever changes like this happen or new hardware comes available the numbers immediately start changing.  Hopefully it pans out but I'm expecting more hashrate to hit IF that happens

If dual mining is going to work it will be the merging of a coin that works with core clock and another that works with memory clock, this will keep balance

i think ton mining will finish at about the same time as eth, raven requires more ram / core so the best alternative i think will be ergo + alph

I was dual mining until today with ETC+ZIL in my 4GB cards but immediately stopped doing so after seeing 2Cryptocalc calculator that to get 3 ZIL a day I was giving up almost 0.05 ETC.I just made basic calculation and 0.05 Ethereum is more than 0.12 USD that is why I immediately convert to ETC single mining. It doesn't look like dual mine will save the day, maybe for the moment ETH+ALPH or ERGO+TON looks better as so it did look even ETC+ZIL a couple of months ago but not anymore,so most probably dual mining cannot save the day in the longer term.

Hashrate of my 4 GB cards now is 170 Mhsh in total as many of them have failed lately and I think maybe this will be the last summer they will work.

When ethereum and TON mining ends, then dual mining ergo + alph will not help miners much to keep profit. Any calculations will show you a profit reduction of at least 5 times, which will make mining profitable only in those places where electricity is free (green) or very cheap.

I don't think so, once ETH is out of the picture miners won't be able to make sensible profits anymore, this will be the time that many will quit mining and sell their GPU, where do you think that all those ETH hashrate will go? This will tank mining profits.

Dual mining this topic seems to be much more interesting. dual mining saves a day it decreases the time that has alloted to be mined and mining done by same day by  additional process  it charge a additional amount to do dual mining .while dual mining leads to many advantages like by offering much more events and increased in profits. while RVN mining is probably the hottest and switching to RVN + ALPH mode will overheat the video card a lot. The reward estimates prove that dual mining can be more profitable than regular mining. So it makes sense to use your graphics cards to mine ETH and TON at the same time and get more profit.it would pass by replacing wallet adress by rig . Ethereum (ETH) Ethereum is the second-most valuable cryptocurrency in existence

For dual mining to work right one coin have to use core clock and the other have to rely on memory clock, this will keep the GPU in good healthy state and also keep the power consumption in a good state, I'm guessing Alph will take the lead after Ton mining stops, as for ETH I don't think PoW will stop for this coin soon.
