Since 1 month, I have no access to my Dogecoin account anymore with my Ledger Nano X. I have no idea what happened. I can no longer add a Dogecoin account with my ledger wallet. I can't sync my Dogecoin account either. Error message: unexpected '<'. I have the same result on IOS and Windows 10 and 11.

Issue in Video : https://youtu.be/DTFSyF6klyk

All my coins are still on my address but I have no longer access to them.
Leger Nano X & S and Ledger live are up to date. This error message only comes with my passphrase. (If I create a new passphrase, I can add a Dogecoin account but still can't manage them.)
I tried to reset my wallet and leger live but nothing change. I tried uninstall/install Ledger Live with no result too. I tried with a Ledger Nano S with same result. All other coins accounts work like a charm.
The only way to manage my dogecoin is probably to use my passphrase using Coinomi wallet but I don't want to expose my passphrase. You can try it but at your own risk :

Ther is no informations on we Ledger website to help in this case. It seems that no Dogecoin wallet is compatible with BIP39.
At this time, there is no working fix from ledger support and that could affect anyone who use Ledger wallet X & S.

Ledger support reference : Case 21537. My case was escalated to Ledger engineer since the 18th February 2022. The 04/03/2022 Ledger deleted my thread about this issue on reddit. Sound look bad to me.

Does Ledger Wallet is still usefull and safe if we can not manage our accounts anymore with it?
Is there better harware wallet at this time?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I keep saying that ledger wallets are dog shit, especially if you are using them for any shitcoins that all have different derivation paths and they could be incompatible.
They had problem with some coin apps in past, or update could make impossible to sign transaction, and there is no fix for that except waiting for devs to update.
Your coins should be safe if you store backup words in safe place, and I guess you could always try importing them in other wallets.
You could try to reset and uninstall than install everything as a last step, if you didn't do that already.

There are much better hardware wallets, that are open source, but I am not sure how many of them are supporting shitcoins like Dogecoin.
I am sure that Trezor One and Trezor Model T support coin you want, but I would suggest adding passphrase to make your account more secure.
Good thing about Trezor is that there is no separate app for each coin and that usually means less issues.

Ledger live are up to date. This error message only comes with my passphrase.
Have you tried downgrading the Ledger live [try it in Windows 10, instead of the other two]?
- I do know in one of the links you provided, someone mentioned it didn't work for them, but it's worth a shot.

  • Did you find anything in the logs?
Note: Don't post here if it comes with sensitive information!

The 04/03/2022 Ledger deleted my thread about this issue on reddit. Sound look bad to me.
In other words, they're trying to cover their tracks [SMH]!

Does Ledger Wallet is still usefull and safe if we can not manage our accounts anymore with it?
- Useful? No [if you can't use it, then it defeats the purpose of having it].
- Safe? It depends on how you look at the situation!

Is there better harware wallet at this time?
As a Trezor One owner that uses Dogecoin from time to time, I'm quite happy with mine.

Do you have other coins on your Ledger besides Dogecoin? If you have more valuable coins like Bitcoin, you can create a new wallet with a new seed, generate a new receiving address, and move your bitcoins to it. When those coins are safe, import your old seed (the one that holds your DOGE) into a software wallet. I have never used Multidoge or Dogecoin Core, but those are the ones that are recommended on the official website of the project. Once you have done that, you will regain access to your DOGE. If you don't want to go through all that trouble and you don't urgently need your dogecoins, just wait until they fix the issue.
