Chia farming freeze on bootup

Chia miners anyone farming on windows 10 with external hard drives? A friend chia mining setup built by me is freezing up when booting, it's lagging for several minutes now I don't know what the issue might be.

It depends on the latest version of the chia wallet 1.2.11 you have to either download a previous version or delete and re-download the blockchain attention they are about 20 gb

Check your internet connection again and if the problem still persists it's time to reload the whole blockchain from scratch, hope you wrote down your recovery seed already, chia mining is still such a mess and it can take longer time for things to get better.

No need to re-download the blockchain in the beginning because it will take 1 or 2 days. My problem was solved after updating the wallet to the latest version. Although chia mining is very unprofitable right now, unless you hold these coins.
