Did that "fraud department" gave you a link to connect your wallet? I'm sorry to say that if a transaction has already been confirmed by the network, it's irreversible.
The hacker has it already and there's no way for you to retrieve that hacked funds of yours unless that hacker becomes kind and sends it back to you. But they are hackers and they won't do that.

EtherScan is a Blockchain explorer, and I don't know of a single case where the platform could be used to "revoke" the transaction. I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. Is it possible that the coinbase security department tried to explain to you how you can use Etherscan to investigate a transaction? To see where the funds went or something like that...

Etherscan is a explorer and help you to track transactions.
In etherscan, you can enter your ethereum address and see its transaction history.
Note that you can only see the address the fund has been sent to and there is no way to know the identity of the hacker. If your wallet is hacked, the fund is gone.

Also note that you should never connect your wallet to a website you don't know what is actually doing.
It's the first time I've heard of connecting a wallet to etherscan. I hope someone isn't trying to scam you.

If possible, please share with other the Etherscan link they sent you to confirm this, and I am guessing they are asking for your seeds or Email and password to connect your coinbase account. Etherscan is Like the Google search Engine of Ethereum Blockchain. it's only used to explore addresses, transaction IDs etc.

You are being fooled.

There is no such coinbase fraud department. You will understand the scam only if you have a better understanding of how transactions occur on the blockchain, allow me. Once you have approved a transaction, there is no way for anyone to reverse this transaction. Bitcoin has the ability of RBF but that is a different discussion. Unlike fiat based payments where banks can interfere and reverse a transaction, no such thing exists here.

So whoever contacted you posing as "fraud dept" is a scammer and you should not connect your wallet on their site. Very likely they will steal the rest of your coins in that wallet once you enter the private key. Whoever knows your private key can spend your coins without you knowing.

they tricked you mate because there's no connect wallet in etherscan like what we usually see in some swap sites and other platform.

And to revoke transaction in etherscan? To be honest with you mate i've been here in crypto space for how many year and what i know about etherscan is it can be use to scan our erc20 wallet and to check the history details of our address, wherein no such feature that you can revoke your transaction.

He already got hacked and now he is going to get phished again, damn that would be a double loss for him if ever he carelessly connect his wallet on the fake page that he sees. I've been using etherscan a lot of times but I never heard that it has the ability to revoke a transaction I think it was not their job but for this things, it must be on the wallet side and also I think an exchange can revoke a transaction too.

If someone ask for our seed phrases and private keys, that is also a sure sign that they are hackers but only newbies are going to get fooled with this. It's important that if we have issues, we don't just search online for help because we can reach the wrong people or customer support.

Sorry to tell you that it's impossible to revoke a transaction in the Ethereum network once confirmed by the miners.

Can you please screenshot the conversation part between you and coinbase support in which they recommended you to connect your wallet to etherscan?
Something fishy here. Simply because etherscan is a public blockchain explorer which doesn't allow users to connect any type of wallets to it, and i doubt that coinbase support department would advice you to do so.
Otherwise, can you describe how the hack was done? At least the department can provide detailed info unless your login info have been hijacked in someway.

You seem to have misunderstood about "revoke" the transactions, it is revoking authorization permissions to the smart contract dApps to which you've connected such as dex or nft platforms. Check here to learn about it: https://info.etherscan.com/tokenapprovals, and yeah you can use etherscan.

That's for sure. It is a scam/blackmail and it is dangerous if that department representative has sent him a link where to connect. And knowing that it's from a Coinbase department/representative, they should be aware that transactions aren't revocable.

This will solve our suspicions, if it's not an official email and domain from Coinbase then that's an absolute scam that he has received.

Revoking will cost you gas fees, you are better of creating new wallet imo.

And since they have told you about revoking the transaction then why not ask them how to do that? but if they asked you for some important details and personal as well? then this is a BS Scam attempt because there is no such thing as revocation of transaction in crypto.

Some of the members above have cleared up the Op's misunderstanding. But Op's problem seems to need more explanation because we don't really know what kind of hacking method he's going through. If hackers have actually managed to steal the Op's privatekey, then revoking authorization permissions is a useless precaution.

There's nothing you can do once the transaction has already confirm and I didn't see any case that the owner retrieve the balance what stolen to them so I guess you need to move on in this issues. Maybe next time be more careful upon handling your wallet and don't trust people claiming that they can help you since mostly they have bad intention and want to stole your money.

You can't reverse a transaction which is made on a decentralized blockchain and since you're talking about etherscan so I guess its ethereum or tokens transaction, I don't know who told you but you can't connect your coinbase wallet to anywhere and etherscan is just an explorer so you probably using a fake site which ask you to connect your wallet and drain everything you have there in no time.

You will end up spending more money trying to reverse the transaction, there is no crypto police out there that can reverse Ethereum transaction, next time stay away from coinbase wallet because it's centralised, though this isn't why you lost your assets, that's due to your carelessness.

I've seen this case in social medias and people really have believed that they're talking to an actual customer support. It's not for Coinbase but for other exchanges that are always being used as tools and disguise by these scammers.
It's really likely that he's talking with a scammer and that's the reason why many have been falling for it because they really thought that it's the actual one and there's an impact of being scared like "if the customer support says so".
