Are you specifically having problems buying bitcoins on VIRWOX? Or are you completely unable to put a USD balance onto VIRWOX?

If you are familiar with purchasing prepaid cards, you could buy bitcoins with a prepaid visa or gift card that you send in the mail to someone, or you could give someone a moneypak code along with a scanned copy of the receipt.

I put $20 into VIRWOX. I transferred it into SSL, then into BTC. I ended up with only 4BTC!

I sent it to my wallet. It never came. I tried to log in and it said "account disabled".

So I yelled at them in an email, and they put the $20 back into my paypal.

So, the only money I have, is in my paypal. I have no cash or anything else and I need BTC asap.

That sucks. Perhaps you should look to an exchange that will offer a better USD-> BTC rate.

I wish I knew more about VIROX to know what happened there, but at least you got your PPUSD back.

Well, if you have a PPUSD balance, then you might want to look into PayPal Mass Pay, which is going to be your best chance at getting bitcoins with PPUSD. Any other PayPal method will likely mean that you will have to pay a high premium for your bitcoins, if you find a seller at all.

Not sure what rates someone will give you for mass pay though.

I normally don't hold a PPUSD balance, so I don't know the details.

Why do you want to do that? I thought the only way for you to get BTC was through PayPal, you didn't say anything about a bank account.

If you need BTC ASAP, keep your balance in PayPal, and try to find someone that will accept a Mass Pay.

If you have a Credit Card, you can buy bitcoins from http://www.mrcoins.org/ or http://simplecoin.com/, the latter is relatively new.

If you are outside the US and have a cell phone, you may be able to purchase BTC from https://dialcoin.com/.

If you have Cash (go to an ATM if needed), you could buy a moneypak and then send someone the code for it and a copy of the receipt for bitcoins.

Well, I didn't know I could transfer the money to my bank account.

But it also didn't tell me it would take 3 days when I did it (till I was done).

I thought, if I put it in my account, I can use my visa.

So, now I have to wait.

I just opened the bank account today.

I originally just started with a paypak card, thats why I tried to use paypal.  I tried with a prepaid card before, but moneybookers flagged me as fraud with it.

 Huh

So Thats why I gave up on the prepaid visa.

But now I got my own visa. Guess I just have to wait.

Thanks for the links though guys, I will use them.

VirWoX is very expensive to buy BTC.  I set up my VirWoX account, bought SLL with USD from Paypal, then bought BTC with SLL, then withdrew the BTC to my wallet.  VirWoX hits you with transaction fees with each step, After all was said and done, my $100 was converted to $80 worth of BTC by the time it got to my wallet (at the same USD/BTC exchange rate).  20% in transaction cost seems very expensive to me.

Are there any other Paypal to BTC options that are less of a ripoff?

You can try bcchanger and localbitcoin, however, it may take hours/days depending on who you buy from. As far as instant payments go, VirWoX seems to be the only place at the moment. (Aside from the first time 48 hour delay.)

Go to an exchange, choose one of the popular ones. Then create an account, this will take some time until everything is verified also you'll need to give them a lot of documents. Now you can buy coins without a problem.

Try to use localbitcoins, exchanges, like btc-e, bitstamp, it should be easy enough for you.
