It's not. Since ripple has been facing a long term problem as it must have done a battle with SEC and the future of ripple is still uncertain. that's why it got kicked from the top 10 CMC.
This can be a fact if ripple didn't have bright future until the problem will be fully solved by the company and SEC.

Yeah for sure. Polygon gets more and more adoption compared with ripple and this procotol is actively used by defi which was giving more utility to the tokens.

Unknown, whether there's a sec case or none. It's unknown and this is all for the altcoins in the market. The same goes for Polygon but while it's known in the market, you decide whether you'll replace it or not.

But with a guarantee, it's better to have bitcoin and there's a better and bright future if you're going to hold it for a long time.

Nobody knows the exact date when it will be going to the moon. All of the coins are like that. I use ripple in my withdrawals by the way. It is a better alternative and you can save pennies if you know what I mean. That is the best thing I love about ripple. I don't hold ripple as I convert it to cash. Whenever I cash out my btc or eth I swap it to ripple because it only needed 1 xrp for fee, and it is way too cheap than btc or eth. The only problem is if your local wallet supports ripple. I think polygon is good, as NFT are somewhat hot right now, a good hype brings you money, that is if you know when to sell of course.

sec went through a lot of bad times and continues to do so. Due to the lawsuits filed against them and their troubles with the SEC, they could not handle the pressure on them. However, it did not show a significant rise. Frankly, the investor started not to trust ripple anymore. In my opinion, it will no longer return to its former position. Ripple was in a bad condition since last year when SEC was suing ripple. Are you sure seeing this as a potential investment? I don't even think like this. I just try to remind you that about the ripple chart if it was going down a lot from the peak price. There's no reason to hodl or even buy ripple this time. This coin has no future in my opinion. If you wanna invest in this coin and that's your choice but i will never ever invest in this coin.

Personally I wouldn't recommend 100% holding it nor would I recommend 100% letting it go. Because if you've done a lot of research on Ripple for a long time, maybe playing games just to take short-term profits is something more effective than risking long-term assets in Ripple. Based on the many cases that Ripple has experienced, perhaps the positive point is that Ripple is still holding on in the market very strongly due to the huge community trust in the project. However, when all long-term investments boil down to Bitcoin, there is nothing wrong if you continue to take money from Ripple and switch it to Bitcoin.

Because securities Exchange or better known as the SEC from time to time bring back the case of Ripple and it will be dangerous for your portfolio. What about Bitcoins? who are more independent, unbound and in control of what we have without worrying about this kind of case. In terms of long-term sustainability, of course, you already know where to lead this opinion?

I don't recommend ripple. It's permissoned blockchain and i don't see many reasons for it to exist. Imho it kinda defeats the whole purpose why blockchains are cool in the first place. But each to their own i suppose, maybe they have some secret plan i haven't heard of.

What it comes to profit, no one can help you. There's no magic crystal ball that can tell the future.

The most important thing about Ripple is that it is a centralized coin. If you invest in these types of projects, you must be aware that centralized coins can be created by developers in an infinite amount at any time.
If your investment is solely guided by speculation, you can risk in short periods of time, but if you want to be guided by fundamental analysis and HODL, definitely invest in Polygon.

XRP is a big coin yes, but its stagnant and if you see its value in the past years, its almost the same.

I think whatever happening to ripple is still part of what is happening with other altcoins and that is the price of bitcoin. Bitcoin dropping is hitting the altcoins family and simply that is the ripple experience. Ripple dropped position to 5th and now selling price is $0.73 but the bitcoin move is big support for ripple, so we can analyse the ripple more if bitcoin is in the bull .

The problem with Ripple didn't start with the lawsuits filled recently by the SEC. Since its lunch, Ripple wasn't a blockchain like other major cryptocurrencies as it wasn't fully decentralized in addition to its inflationary supply. It was built by some centralized entities (Banks) to perform the transactions between them then became an instrument for trading which help improve the value of such an inflationary coin.

I don't think the future of Ripple is brighter than Polygon, better make your own research and compare which one suits your investment plan. The main question is which project will give you max ROI in the long term investment, $5 price is not astronomic for XRP but the last issues with SEC can delay the long term uptrend, IMHO.

As we don't know the final outcome regarding XRP's SEC issue, we can't tell where they are heading to. For now, they are staying above 70 cents. But to predict what will happen to this alt, no one can give you precise path for this coin, just mere speculation. Though Polygon is rising because it is offering cheaper transaction fees, cheaper than BSC, they have seemingly bright future. But if you want assurance of your funds, go to BTC first, and then you can diversify to other popular alts. It is your decision though to venture into other alts. It is hard to suggest as it is your money at stake, and everyone can basically say a thing or two about their opinion on the matter.

XRP has been plagued with regulatory issues that are supposed to be solved by cryptos.

Its achilles heel is really the fact that it is not independent or decentralized. Its value is solely based on institutional partnerships.

With the direction of DeFi I don't see ripple really contributing much to the space as it is already running on outdated technology and ideas that are incompatible with some of the newer chains are offering (e.g. SOL, MATIC, etc.). I would definitely pull out funds now from XRP.

You'd rather choose Polygon instead. I'm not against Ripple (XRP) as I was using it sometimes to move my coins but if we talk about investing and hold, not as bright as it was compared to Polygon it is growing and very competitive.
And talking back their issue, it still not finished yet...rumors and some speculations rises to what will happen next that brought its future unknown.

I can't see which of the two has a brighter future but if I have to choose one of them, Polygon is my bet. It can't deny that Polygon is moving fast like BNB before, although XRP has been in the market for many years, however, their issues seem to affect their reputation that drives people to become doubtful and this is a factor why investors haven't chosen them.
But if I have Ripple in my wallet, I don't sell them. We can't just assume what happens someday, who knows the issue will be done and the price jumps ATH.
