Altcoins are said to be the alternative cryptocurrency aside from Bitcoin and many of the altcoins are decentralized and also centralized, unlike Bitcoin which is highly decentralized and out of the control of anyone be it the developer or government Bitcoin has a total circulating supply. But Altcoin is developed by individuals e.g Vitalik Buterin Ethereum developer and teams members who are known in the society and the source codes of the coin can easily be updated which have made them not to have a static circulating which is has been the major reason why the altcoin market is hard to speculate because it circulating supply can easily be tempered more coin being minted at will which will render speculators analysis inaccurate in most cases.

Not all altcoins can be minted, some are created with a fix total supply and this makes them more valuable plus, their burning mechanism helps the economy to be better. Its volatile because that’s already the nature of cryptocurrency and those are not stable coins, expect a more volatile price this year as we are still facing a lo of problems. World issues also affect them, so many to consider with regards to price volatility.

Speculation is not accurate, and this market is very volatile same thing with Bitcoin, speculation is easy but there’s no guarantee for that. If there’s no specific number for the supply of token, most probably is unlimited supply but those who already have the limit can’t change it anymore, just look at Bitcoin supply, we’re near to mine all of the supply.

In fact, few altcoins is centralized. Most of the projects are decentralized and have a constant total supply.
Of course, there can be all kinds of tokenimics manipulations, such as hiding tokens or fictitious expenses. However, I'm afraid I can't agree with you that this total sypply is a problem in altcoin speculation.

Because the developer themselves can create a fud for thier community that will make everyone sell thier tokens and them buy back billions worth $1000 only. Hard to see any altcoin that devs are honest. There are some altcoins that I have not given up but mostly even the ones above the ranks are quite awful when you find yourself holding thousands of them but only worth $1000 when the bear market sets in.

Altcoin is hard to speculate know why? because they are full of shit , most of them are scammer and most have no future at all.

Because altcoin world is too large comparing to single currency on top BITCOIN, how can you speculate a thousand currencies when bitcoin is just there always to show what is the movement in front of us.

Name me one coin that has tempered their circulating supply in a bad way that would affect on the portfolio (excluding the dilution where total value in usd wouldn't change). Even if this would happen it would be easy for community not to accept the fork and keep the altcoin classic version.

Also Vitalik isn't vital part important part of Ethereum development anymore.

Those aren't the reason. Reason is that there are thousand of low caps and without understanding the tech, having insight on whales or influencers, you don't know what is going to get adopted and what just shilled and pumped. And there's the fact that some mid-low caps are way more volatile when they react to btc movements, world events and stuff like that

Altcoin is hard to speculate know why? because they are full of shit , most of them are scammer and most have no future at all.

It's not completely bullshit but indeed the average altcoin project now has no future and just follows the trend of hype, for example, meme coins that take advantage of prices that go up once and then fall deeper and that's what's hard to speculate.
If it's an old project and it can stay at the top of Coinmarketcap then we can see their development and of course this speculation can be done on projects with their goals and products.

Yup its true altcoins can be minted easily. But i can't really tell that because of that reason it will become to hard to speculate alts.
because you know everytime when there's such event all devs and team behind always publish an announcement for the awareness of everyone. probably if you're not up to date of what's happening because surely it will become to hard to speculate..

Decentralization getting lost on crypto market is not a lie, that's something I am seeing all the time in the crypto world. That doesn't mean that there aren't any decentralized projects left, but the idea of being centralized or decentralized has been a bit blurry lately. Imagine it this way, bitcoin is decentralized but we got segwit, satoshi didn't do it, we did and we all agreed, that's cool right? Makes it centralized? Of course not, which means there could be some changes and not become centralized.

But, justin Sun changed the entire network of trx after they started, or pancakeswap keeps getting new features, is that decentralized? I do not know. What about BNB? That is totally different thing from when it started, decentralized?

All in all I am not entirely sure what decentralized even means anymore, is it the fact that nobody can touch the chain itself and can't meddle with it? If that is the case then there are many decentralized projects, if it means to not even change a thing from start, then even btc is not decentralized anymore.

Altcoin is not a bitcoin.Whenever their is dump in bitcoin price.All the time, the price of bitcoin reduced, the price of altcoin was reduced a huge value. The recover of the altcoin price is not easy one. Once it reduced 10 times, it will recovered for 4 times. When again bitcoin price reduced, it will further reduced to the bottom of cup.The only way to recover full lose is, you need to inverse on best altcoin. Secondly you should wait for the longer time.

Altcoins are hard to speculate but it doesn’t mean they are not good, there’s a lot of altcoins project that deserve to be on top as well, so don’t live with Bitcoin alone, better to diversify.

Speculating is not easy and its actually stressing since you are predicting a future that may not happen. You can’t fully rely on speculations, better to analyze the price trend and follow the chart by this you can actually tell when you will buy and sell.

I think at the end of the day, everything relating in updates in altcoins gonna be decided by the consensus either from the stakers and miners.
if the altcoin could be minting new altcoins and it’s up to the developers to decide, then it could be considered just a scam altcoins because the circulating supply and total supply could be tempered easily.
instead most of the altcoins that are already popular and famous aren’t messing with their fixed total supply as its gonna trigger chaos and could make their altcoins being left by the users.
this is the reason why so many people are also persuaded in analyzing the technicals of the altcoin, not just blindly investing.

Not only the technical part of it but the actual development and use case of the coin. As we have seen, if the alt has no strong application in the market, it can easily decline its liquidity in the market up until no more interested traders are going in. Only few alts up until now has very good foundation and keeping up with their promised application and services. This is why only few alts are worth holding even if there are thousands of them scattered in every trading platform.

Many of the altcoins are centralized and investors of it doesn't see that factor. Because, in most of the perspective of investors, they're just mere investors and doesn't have to be looking at the technical side of it so that doesn't really matter at all.

I think that who's developer has nothing to do with the speculation. Remember the as long as there will always be demand and supply and volatility will always there. It has nothing to do with the circulating supply. It's totally peg with demand and supply. This makes the market is very hard to be speculated as the demand and supply was always growing up or down instantly.

That is not really the reason, the main reason for this has to do with technical analysis, most of the people in the market are using technical analysis to try to guess what will happen in the market next, however one of the known problems of technical analysis is that it does not work in an asset that has too small of a volume, and what is the man characteristic among most new coins in the market? That they have a low volume, so it is impossible to use technical analysis to try to infer their next movements.

Your observations are correct however it is not limited to just that, unlike BTC Altcoins can also rugpull investors because of the low market capitalisation that some of them have. P&D is also common and apart from that having over a thousand of Altcoins definitely makes it difficult to speculate because they don't produce the same result.

Bitcoin is indeed the safest in crypto but we are here to make profits, so diversify your portfolio. The bigger the altcoins world, the bigger our chances of making a profit. There have been many successful altcoins not just bitcoin.
This market is made up of not only bitcoin but also altcoins. New trends constantly creating in the market are the main reason driving the development of the entire cryptocurrency market.

But the bigger the profit we get, the greater the risk we risk.
Even though now the world of altcoins is getting bigger that can benefit us all, but we also have to look at the risks in the future.
Because altcoin prices don't always go up and always give profits.
Of course there will also be disputes, especially if the bitcoin price drops drastically, of course they will also follow the bitcoin price right.

Altcoins are too volatile even before. If we will focus into too many altcoins it will be hard  to assess and earn from it. Better study first their chart and market before investing. I experienced having too mamy different altcoins and not being able to monitor them all that cost me loss. It will be better to have atleast coins that we can focus in long term and in short term provided we know how to manage them properly since they are too volatile to handle.
