The Holocaust May Have Prevented Something?

Not to rough up anyone or come off as offensive. But this is just something that was in a recent discussion.

Referring to any world major problems that have happened in the past. Perhaps these events may have prevented something else of a bigger scale from happening.

Sure The Holocaust may have had happened. But maybe there was information that was destroyed in a book burning or something. That maybe something of a very big bad scale was going to happen. This event prevented from such a thing from happening.

Maybe the same for what happened in Rwanda in the 1990's. Maybe what happened there prevented something else of a bigger scale from happening.

Maybe the Black Death in the 15th century may have prevented something else bad from happening.

Many factors.
