You could probably mine some CPU coin for a small profit, (if you make profit...), however, the integrated graphics that you have is not sufficient to do any kind of GPU mining. Good options are monero or smaller coins, e.g. raptoreum, etc. In all honesty, the consensus here on mining with laptops is that it's generally not a good idea and reduces the battery life and at high temps, can even reduce the chip's life.

You can use it for mining CPU coins like Raptoreum and Monero but I would suggest you Raptoreum which is a relatively new CPU mineable coin that is low in price and in difficulty compared to Monero,it is like 1 cent per coin now but you can mine it for the long term,you should be making like 2-4 Raptoreum daily with such processor.I know it is a ridiculous amount right now but if you mine for the long term and keep the coins who knows what the future brings so yes you can mine with this PC CPU coins.

Iris xe is an integrated GPU, do not use this for mining because it can damage your motherboard, I'm sure that thing can't handle the heat to a certain extent, the CPU looks powerful you can mine raptoreum coin with that or other CPU PoW coins.

The processor is good enough you can try to do some cpu mining with monero, uplexa, raptoreum, turtlecoin instead with an integrated gpu you get very little profit a gpu mining would be just a waste of energy

Why should the iGPU damage the motherboard?  Huh Roll Eyes Cheesy
I am mining with some of my iGPU´s for years now and nothing will kill anything. I hate this false information, If you don't know, just shut up and don´t spread wrong information.

But it is true, the reward is not so good  Smiley

This is a mobile processor and they have never been good for mining because they are designed to be used in mobile devices, so they have lower heat dissipation, lower frequencies and weaker performance. Mobile devices are not designed to be mined 24 hours a day.

Integrated GPUs have advantage of using lower power consumption but coins can't be mined with them anymore because of high difficulty, I remember in 2010 where you can mine BTC with pentium4 CPU but this days the chances are limited, a discrete GPU is better.

Do you have a target profit daily? I would recommend you not to mine, it will be a waste of time. Unless if you are willing to wait years, because your current set up is only good for CPU minable coins, and they are just cents in value. I would rather use it for other purposes rather than mine and get it broken.

Have you looked at the iGPU information of this laptop?
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i5-1135G7-Processor-Benchmarks-and-Specs.467754.0.html
The iGPU's gaming performance is close to what a GeForce MX250 has in store;
I think we are discussing CPU mining on this laptop.

Thanks for your replies I've gave up on the desktop because no coin is worth mining on that thing, I use Nicehash the profit is no where near a reasonable amount it's better I sell it for money, thanks once again.
