Hello,

My familly own a large land (a farm) powered by solar energy / injection (It means when It's night time, or the sun is not up yet I get electricity from my town to compliment the amount I need) but in day time I always have 60% / 50% of the power left, it's usualy a time window from 10am to 4pm. Is it worth it for me to build up a crypto farm, and if it's the case can anyone guide me through the set up.

Thank you for you time,

much appreciated.

The on-grid solar panel is what you need there are lots of guides about building an on-grid solar panel. Check the image below as a sample diagram.

Source: https://www.literoflightusa.org/solar-panel-diagrams/

That is the on-grid solar panel where you can switch between power from the battery to the town electricity source or vice versa.
Read and watch the video from the source above you will learn to build a solar panel. Off-grid is the easiest one compared to on-grid.

Also if you are planning to use solar panels for mining I'm sure it's costly you will need many solar panels and expensive inverters to support a miner with high power consumption.

A good question that is hard to answer. But here goes.

First you have excess power for 6 hours.

Do you sell it back to the grid?

I live in NJ, USA

we net meter with the grid. So the meter runs backwards when we have excess power.

The goal is to have a zero dollar meter each month.
so many power companies all over the world have many sets of rules.
so to have any idea of what to tell you I need to know do you net meter the excess power that you have from 10 to 4 each day.
Second how big its the system?

I am involved in three setups a 45 kwatt a 115 kwatt and a 280 kwatt

so when the magic time of 10 to 4  occurs  we have 45+115+280 = 440 kwatts extra for about five or six hours. say 2200 spare kwatts each day. we net meter for our night use. we get zero bill each month.

if you do not have net meter you are wasting you extra power.

get back to us to let us know if you net meter and exactly how big your field/array is.

if you have 100kwatt you would have 6x100 = 600 excess kwatts if you do no have net meter 50% of it is 300 kwatts wasted. in those 6 hours.

that means 50 kwatts an hour or maybe 10 s19 or 10 a1246 units could run for free for six hours a day.

If you have 60% more power than you use and can't "sell" it back to the grid, buy some batteries to store it for night usage, or simply sell those solar panels (whichever works for you), it makes no sense to run mining gears for 6 hours a day even with free power, you will simply increase your ROI by a factor of 4, so instead of hitting ROI in 4-5 months which is the average for the cheap outdated gears, you will be looking into close two 2 years when taking the difficulty into account.

Of course, this ignores any tax incentives or anything else beyond the simple logic I used above.
