According to a blog post on Monday, the crypto exchange, Coinbase said it blocked 25,000 accounts linked to Russian individuals and entities suspected of "illicit" activities. The article states that "Sanctions play a vital role in promoting national security and deterring unlawful aggression, and Coinbase fully supports these efforts by government authorities."

This incident makes us think and wonder whether this is contrary to Satoshi Nakamoto’s initial concept when he creates bitcoin. For those who seek a more equitable world, privacy should be their right and not a privilege. Nowadays, achieving decentralization in crypto is not that easy as there are too many hurdles to overcome.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

For me personally, I think it is contrary with Satoshi’s initial concept about decentralisation, freedom, and equality!
