The de-facto leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have declined to arrange calls with US president Joe Biden in recent weeks as the US and it allies have sought to contain a surge in energy prices caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
According to the Wall Street Journal, citing Middle East and US officials, both Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the UAE’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan have been unavailable to Biden after US requests were made for discussions.
Here are some of the reasons:
Relations between the US and Saudi Arabia have chilled during the Biden administration over American policy in the Gulf region.
Issues include the revival of the Iran nuclear deal; lack of US support for Saudi intervention in Yemen’s civil war and its refusal to add Houthis to its list of terrorist groups; US help with a Saudi civilian nuclear program; and legal immunity for Prince Mohammed, who is facing lawsuits over the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi by a Saudi hit-team in its Istanbul consulate four years ago.
Too bad for the prince the new president is so against chopping up journalists into little pieces.
This wouldn't have happened if Trump was still the president.
This is all about Ukraine.
Trump tried to get the President of Ukraine to claim there was an investigation into his political appointment. That was what he wanted in exchange for an invitation to the White House that Ukraine wanted to show Russia that the US supported them against Russia. (And they say Ukraine is corrupt, lol)
Trump pushed a phony conspiracy theory accusing Ukraine of interfering in the 2016 election to help Clinton, despite all his own intelligence agencies finding that it was Russia interfering to help him.
Trump stood next to Putin and said he believed him over his own intelligence agencies.
Most likely, if Trump were president, Putin would be done with Ukraine and onto the next invasion.
Its because Biden is a puppet of the elite and he is just the fall guy who gets blamed for doing a terrible job and eventually collapsing the US economy into a depression much like Venezuela.
Hey check out US Unemployment, GDP growth, the stock market, wages, pretty much every economic indicator other than inflation Now go back to the place we were in when Trump left office and a recession was all but inevitable.
