The post has been deleted. So, it was against the rules, from moderators point of view. As scams are not moderated, it was probably deleted due to breaking the rule number 7 (No begging).

Advo82 woke up today to make that post after a 4-year break, which means the account could have been compromised, and they were trying to carry out the now common Ukrainian War donation scam.

For me it's nothing more than poor scam attempt. First of all, begging isn't allowed here and it definitely don't looks like proper donation campaign.
And yeah, death threaths isn't allowed here, even if we talk about Putin. And I'm not really sure how donating money to random ''lawyer'' can help to take Putin off. Maybe he had to offer bounty for Putin's head.

if this is the rule that was broken shouldn't the account that posted it be banned? at least, as far as I know, death threats are a bannable offense here in the forum. although I am not sure if there is a condition(i.e. the person who received the death thread is a member here in the forum.) that needs to be met in order for someone who made that death threat to be banned.

I agree that this is probably just a scam attempt. They are taking advantage of the news that are happening and thinks that it's going to work or something. Also, having a threat over life is a serious offense for sure, wherever you are in the world. It should be monitored or something.

With the current situation and helping the discourse, I hope the laws will be updated or clearly clarified regarding fundraising campaigns, incitement against violence and other things related to what is happening recently.
Generally why was the topic deleted? Is it because of hate calls or because of donations or why?
And why was the user not banned if the reason was rule number 8?

Honestly i think it was deleted because it was clearly a scam, there is already an address for people who want to donate to Ukraine in this hard time, so the OP basically wanted to use the current happenings in Ukraine to scam unsuspecting people, though it is a poorly orchestrated one if i am to be honest; i say it was deleted because it was an obvious scam cause i feel it still would have been deleted if the OP didn't include donations for the 'elimination of putin'. I really doubt anyone would have fallen for that, but using the current sufferings of the Ukrainian people to try to make money is really 'disgusting' to say the least.

It was clearly a scam attempt and a poorly executed one, but that would not have been the reason the thread was deleted as scams are not moderated by the forum, regardless of how obvious it turns out to be; Many members are rather not convinced by that rule, but that is what it is.

The mods could have found whatever other reason to ban the post for as it broke more than one rule.

I checked his account that is still not banned, and there are no usual signs of hacked account with changed passwords, but he was inactive for years before making this post.
On the other hand, looking at his post history this account seem to be originally from Ukraine, but making elimination post is event deserving a ban.
Same thing happened when humanrightsfoundation was sending death threats to theymos and other people.

Right. The post very clearly violated the no begging rule, and was making an implied threat to a specific person.

In these cases, it is usually best to report these posts to the moderators.

I think it is probably more likely the post was an attempt to troll. I don't think many people would be willing to risk trying to "eliminate" Putin for the hope of receiving some crypto.

It's almost like someone intentionally wanted to create chaos and violence all around the world, using politician puppets and social media from both sides using attacks like this.
It's very easy to control people when you have them in constant state of fear and hating others, so you can impose global changes much easier.
Maybe I just watched to much Star Wars movies, and events in last few years are totally unrelated.

That's kinda joke. It's either he will be the one taken off by Putin if the latter knows this. This is very clear that this so called "lawyer" was trying to scam all those who will fall for his own strategy. A knowledgeable person won't definitely fall for this because the purpose itself for the donations is very unacceptable. No one has the right to take Putin off without passing any legal procedures. Thus, only fools will fall for this.

It can be that it was deleted for threat to life or indirectly placing bounty on Putin. The forum does not promote violence or war.
People that puts up this kind of post, how are they being disciplined apart from merely deleting the post.

Totally agree with you,  the post was deleted due to threat to life, in as much as we are not happy with the current situation of things going on between Russia and Ukraine, it's still inappropriate to request people donate money for an assassination on a human life, it's better to allow the law take its course at the end of the day.
Though I strongly believe the post was purely a scam attempt, but it's good it's been deleted by moderators, and I also suggest the poster be sanctioned or punished So as to deter other members with such mindsets from making such post again.

Begging in the forum is unacceptable and there's no way that this one is legit and will gain sympathy because the goal for the donations is  simply injustice to human rights. I guess only fools will end up believing and donating in here. And whether he's a lawyer or not, he has no right to take Putin head's off. Leave it to the government because they know exactly how to take Putin out from his position.
