If you are looking for the serious discussion and you may need to join on its telegram group. I think that this forum is the top altcoins forum and you will not find another similar forum that gives you a better discussion than this. That's why it's better if you are joining in the telegram group. Mostly of another forum full with so many spam. This forum is very strict to keep the quality of discussion.

Try to take a look at the pink sale telegram group, icodrop tele group or something else. So many discussions are also happening in the various telegram group. You can even join in the exchange tele group do get what you are looking for,

what about reddit?
I see there is very active in providing information about pre sales or new projects. because the subreddit on altcoins/crypto is quite active. or altcointalk but I think compared to bitcointalk, the forum is less popular. the interaction there is very different when compared to this forum it can be said there is still quiet.

Yes there are other forums that talk about altcoins the one that comes close to Bitcointalk forum is altcoinstalks.com/ there are a lot of topics and top altcoins in the market have their own sections I have a legendary account here I am not fully active here because of my offline job, this forum is good for those who invest in altcoins.

There is altscointalk forum but I don't just like the platform, the design and other things are a big turn off for me, I have account on the forum but stopped visiting the forum already I choose bitcointalk forum over it for few reasons, everything about altcoins can be found here.

It's true that this forum is the best I know, many people even talk about altcoins.

Usually I know that from various social media groups including Telegram which also allow their version of the best altcoins, even with new projects that are coming there are always discussions there, maybe we ourselves do good research or not.

When it comes to a valid forum, of course Bitcointalk.

If you are a degen and looking for a new project that is about to launch or just launched without proper information and mostly it is all about promotion and hype, Reddit is the best choice for you especially its subreddit named CryptoMoonShots.
It can be the best for you to find a gem because it always gives you updated information about the sale or listing, but it also can be your worst place because it showed everything without the proper information. The majority of coins/projects you will see there is garbage or scam, so do not be surprised if you see 9 out 10 are scams.

Another place is Bitcointalk of course, it is relatively safe here because you can not post anything that is too good to be true without proper explanation about it, and sometimes some people will do deep research for you and explain everything that is dodgy or shady about the project. The cons is it is pretty much late some time compared to Reddit.

But I'm not really sure if you can get as good altcoin forum as bitcointalk. This community has been in years already although it was overrun by the so called spam posts because of bounty campaigns, but still you can get tons of information here.

These are the two other forums that I know that are discussing cryptocurrencies and altcoins. Other forums are not yet that popular although some crypto casinos have also forums they're mainly focused on the casino itself although some discussions about altcoins are too but not that too active as these other forums that everyone is suggesting.

Personally I think this forum is the best source of information you can find, as in here not only you will find supporters of the coin but members of the community that will actually ask questions to the developers about the project and you will have a chance to see if they are legit or not, however if you really want to explore other options then reddit could be a good option, as there is a strong community there as well which is interested in cryptocurrencies in general, even if find the quality of the discussion there to be significantly lower than what we can find here.

This forum is already the best for serious altcoin discussion, you can look in the ANN section of the altcoin you are looking for and usually have their events too. Other forums have been inserted by community in above which is aimed at altcointalk and those are the top two forums in my opinion, there is bitcoingarden too but if you want to find developments regarding the altcoin project you are looking for, then you have to follow their channel on twitter or official telegram.

I have an account too in altcointalk but I'm never active there anymore.

IMO, this forum is good for discussion of all cryptos, we have also scam busters here that are very useful to avoid being scammed.

That forum was totally crap. Bunch of spammers and you will never find a good discussion there. Even if altcoin section in this forum is just a sub section but the quality from this forum compared with it is actually different. I think that there's no reliable altcoin forum other than this. I remember that there was also a forum called bitcoin garden and something else but these forums are also full with spam. It's better if he was joining directly into the telegram group that managed by the project. This may become the best choice for him consider that if he will get nothing if he was only find garbage forum.

For example, r/cryptocurrency has such a big community that they have their own tokens as well, called moon token or something and you get paid with that the more you participate and people upvote you and so forth.

It means you could technically make about 30-40 dollars a month by just being there and writing and talking with other people. Consider it like the merit we have here, but it is something you can cash out as well and make money.

OP is not looking for a forum that have earning potential like bitcointalk but he was looking for an altcoin based forum that talks about presale and stuffs but I think if we search that keyword in reddit, they also have it but again they are strict and not all new altcoins or tokens is going to be discussed there. Well, it is not easy. You need to be constantly there and constantly getting upvotes and all that, and in just one subreddit that I know (maybe valid in some others but I do not know) and you would need to read up on it. But, I would suggest actually checking it on the subreddit itself and seeing how it works would be better. Obviously it is not a great income maker, you will not earn much from it unless you are spouting out incredible content, but that is how they turned that place into an information place and avoided spam.

These are discussion sections on bitcointalk.org forum. What the opis talking about is whether there are other different forums that are just dedicated to altcoins discussion. Which I don’t know any for now. And even if there is any other forum that talks about altcoins, they wouldn’t have much members on the forum like we have on bitcointalk.org. So, it wouldn’t really be that much helpful.

The best cryptocurrency forum still remains Bitcointalk as there are lots of people here and also it is the main forum that started the cryptocurrency community. So this is definitely the best place to be or you can be also checking out social media like Twitter.
