Don't even think about it because it's not worth it. Bitcoin mining is now done using specialized hardware known as ASICs, and Laptops do not have ASICs in them. They instead have GPUs and CPUs, which are now obsolete when it comes to Bitcoin mining.

It is not possible to directly mine Bitcoin with laptops since quite some years now.However it is not advisable to mine with laptops even if you can mine other cryptos if your laptop have a powerful GPU because in the long term your laptop will become damaged or completely broken,you won't make any ROI or any serious income by mining with laptops.

ASIC miners are needed to start mining BTC but they are too costly, right now a good ASIC miner will cost up to 20,000$ or even more, you can start this journey with just 1000$ using graphic cards instead and mine Ethereum and if BTC is your ultimate goal then exchange your ETH for BTC.

The answer is no bitcoin mining is not possible / profitable via laptop the only way to mine it now is with asics, but there are alternatives you can try with zergpool, nicehash or unminable that mine other altcoins but pay in bitcoin

Bitcoin is not mined on laptops, but you can use a nicehash service to get rewarded in bitcoins. On the same site you will find calculators and benchmarks. But I am now against mining on laptops, because there are video cards available.
