I hate risers and I want to stop using them

I think risers have too much problems, you use them for a week then one GPU go offline, you set it well again the next few days the same thing happen and some times it can work perfectly for a month, aren't there any motherboard with 16x slots only?.

Hmm maybe its your fault because using to big GPU´s? Or bad PSU´s?
I have running some riser for over 2 or 3 years without a problem.

But your question about a board with only 16x slots show, that you have not much knowledge about mining. So dive deeper into this.

Mind sharing the type of risers you bought for your rig because there are some bad ones out there and they are the cheapest, they came with bad USB cables and I'm suspecting that might be the case.

Bad risers can give you an issue OP All mine are 009S and most have been running for years, the best risers on the market today is 009s and 010 risers, some 006 are bad I have bought them once but returned.

which model you have? not all risers are same. there is so many manufactures out there some of them are very bad you can see solder quality. but i still have 006 007 risers working.

Risers can easilly work loose, there's no lock on the PCIe tab. You may have excess vibration or
some other disturbance making the problem worse. x16 slots are one solution, direct USB connections
to the motherboard are another. Checkout the recent thread about cases vs open air rigs, there is
some discussion about x16 mining motherboards.

Risers can be loose at times from the 1x slot, also I have a mobo with 1x slots that can become loose when I insert riser I don't know why but there is a fix, you need to find one of these

In my opinion, instead, the risers are the best solution to mine if some gpu goes offline it could be the fault of insufficient power supply or inadequate cooling they still need constant maintenance, certainly with a motherboard with only x16 pci express ports maybe the cards would stop/freeze less

I have this motherboard and highly recommend it to anyone who want to get rid of risers.Before it I always got occasional crashes that I didn't know where they were coming from because I used correct overclock settings but now I do,it was only of the risers.No problems whatsoever since I got this motherboard,supports up to 3 PSU-s and I have populated it with different type of cards but only put 4 there because of the heat thing,if you put 6 make sure to use additional cooling.Below a pic of this motherboard at work.

I have been using raisers for over 5 years. Perhaps you bought low-quality raisers. Better try other models of raisers. In your case, additional costs will be required for the purchase of new motherboards and the possible replacement of power supplies due to the lack of the necessary connectors.

So your rtx2060 is doing 35MH? I don't know that those cards are capable of higher MH, what is the max price you can get one right now? In my country this 2060 are sold for 620$ each which is too high I guess.

It is the 2060 12 GB version which can do 37.xx Mhsh at +1500 memory clock but I keep it running really great with 0 errors at +1350 that is why it stays at 36 Mhsh.The RTX 2060 If you are talking about the normal version at 30-32 Mhsh for 620 USD is a bit expensive I would say,I bought this for 520 EUR new or 580 USD at the time with the actual EUR/USD exchange rate.I bought this as this was the cheapest and most available option,beside that I bought it with money earned from mining so no problem for me.

In the end it depends on a lot of circumstances if it is worth or not.

Thanks for the reply @swogerino I don't know that RTX 2060 has a 12GB counterpart, I can't find a 12GB one here only the 6GB and the funny part is it's selling for 625$ here, shipping fee is insanely high now meaning I can't buy unless the price goes further down.

OP if that Asrock h510 is too costly which I believe it is you can buy the one in the link below, I ordered on aliexpress for 80$ and it comes with CPU and RAM stick, it gives me full confidence over other MOBO I have, it's like plug and plays.
