The NCAA mens college basketball tournament play in games kick off today with the big day kicking off tomorrow. I wanted to start this thread as a discussion for the tournament. I’m curious how many people have brackets set up ? This is always one of the most exciting sports events of the year and one of the biggest Vegas sporting events as there’s lots of gambling to be done in this tourney! Who’s your pick to win it all? I think Gonzaga will repeat personally.

Best time of year, honestly I like watching the natty over the NBA playoffs anyway.  So many surprises,upsets, etc.  The flurry of games from Thursday to Sunday.  For me I got a couple teams.  Duke to win it all in coach k's final year and Tennessee as my sleeper.  This year duke could break the record with 5 nba draft picks in the first round.  Kentucky holds that right now with 4 players.  Bring it on!

Yeah it’s easily one of my top favorite times of the year. I really need to get to Vegas during the opening round of the tournament. I could see Duke playing in to the championship. It feels crazy that this is it for Coach K.

I look forward to taking it nice and easy tomorrow while working. Hopefully whoever is streaming the game has that emergency boss button on the page, so if your boss comes by it automatically takes you to some work looking excel spreadsheet lol.

This is like the Anime Slamdunk where the elimination in the first round is unavoidable to the team that loses the game. It means only strong teams can reach up to the top 4 because they were beating every single opponent to reach there. Damn! I hope to do this on live television as well, I don't know which team to cheer but I really want to see a team climb to the top without losing.

You do understand they don't play 4 12 minute quarters right?  And it's so much more pure than nba (and I'm a huge nba guy).  These kids are playing their asses off day in day out.  And if you are an underdog rooter than nothing better then the national tourny.  Professional ball gets very boring through the season except for your Marque matchups.  Every game is exciting in the tourney.  1 and done.  Kids playing with a chance to knock off the best teams in the country.  You are missing out, and equating this to women's basketball pssht..come on man you can't be real.

Got me some duke winning it all.  5 possible 1st round picks.  Good vetern leadership in wendell moore, acc defensive player of the year in center mark Williams.  And they don't rely on 3s like a lot of teams.  To win 6 games in a row you need to be able to score inside when 3s aren't going down.

My sleepers: Texas tech (who would face duke in sweet 16), Tennessee and Iowa.  K Murray on Iowa is insane, the tenn guards are incredible in Kennedy Chandler and tech has already beaten Baylor twice and Kansas once who are both 1 seeds.

The tourny has been pretty good so far.  As expected a top seed in Kentucky dropped on the first game.  Lots of tight games.  The Ill/Chattanooga game was crazy to watch.  Illinois led the game for all of only 25 seconds and won the game.  Round 2 incoming and my brackets are still in tact

C'mon, they're playing 40 minutes, not 48, they have 30 seconds for attack, not 24 and you can't expect high scoring games in March Madness where every game is final and players defend like angry dogs. I'm not saying that NCAA is highest level basketball, but I think you have wrong expectations.

Yeah the duke game is Def 50/50 could go either way.  Tech is one of my sleepers.  Just hoping duke has enough in the tank to beat a strong tech team.  AJ grinning went down last night hopefully he is healthy by Thursday, he is key on the team.  Good floor spacer, hits 3s at a high rate.

So in college basketball scores are presented like this “63-58”.  Using “63:58” would represent a measure of time in a game. So this is why I asked the question, as it doesn’t make sense in the context that you used it. But yes, I’m stupid.

Duke game was an instant classic last night.  Best game of the tourny so far in my mind.  Houston also looks dangerous on d.  Can't wait to see tonight's game with st Peter's and Perdue.  Always love a good underdog, go st peters!

Watched Houston - Villanova game and it was one of the lowest scoring games I saw for a while. It ended with Wildcats win 50:44. Both teams didn't even scored 100 points combined.
Duke - Arkansas is coming up next and I have stake on Duke win on this game.

I had Arizona winning it all, not sure if I ever responded back to you about that. Yeah man the Dukies are on a mission right now and it couldn’t get any better than having them face off versus North Carolina in the Final Four.  So close to pulling off that bet brotha !

So, tonight we have semifinals of March Madness. First semifinal between Kansas and Villanova starts in 3 minutes. Next we have Duke and North Carlona game. At this stage when team that I supported (Arizona Wildcats) is already eliminated, I'm rooting for Duke. It would be amazing end of glorious Coach K career if he will win NCAA on his fianl season. I put stake on Duke win tonight.

The second game tonight is going to be epic.  One of the greatest sports rivalries.  In over 100 years haven't ever played in the tourny against each other.  In the final four with a chance at the trophy.  All in Ks last year.  Think duke gets some revenge from the home beatdown they took from unc.  Duke 78- unc -71.
