I would like to connect Trezor to Metamask, why I have to create new Mtmsk seed?

Hello, I would like to connect trezor to Metamask and then send BSC to trezor, so why I need to create new Metamask account with new seed at first?

Correction: I have not to create new Metamask wallet but I have to import my current wallet to metamsk (non Trezor wallet).

When I did it I had to make a blank metamask wallet first and then import the trezor wallet's public key(s) into the other one.

You don't need to write down the mnemonic of the first wallet you make but you might want to just in case you get confused or something and send funds to the wrong wallet (I think I just took a photo of it though since I don't plan on sending funds to that one).
