There is something i still don't understand: on one hand i read: "Up for sale today are 20 sets of the plain (white cards) Bitbills 10th anniversary commemorative Coldkey" and on the other hand sets ranging from number 11 to 50 has been sold. Is is a mistake? Sorry...

look closely at the range - many numbers are missing - could be that some people got early access and those numbers were reserved for them - or the ones missing could be the ones in the upcoming auction(s).

understood - I basically despise NFT's in general but if I own a physical, it is nice to have the NFT to go with it. But for me, it is better to have the NFT tied to the chain that is the same as the physical item. IMO makes zero sense to have BTC physicals with NFT's on anything other than XCP. The two should go hand in hand - that is my opinion at least. I wont be buying any NFT's that are not on the same chain as the physical.

I feel the same way, I use solona super easy & fast, but would like my physical card to be on the same chain hopefully in the future this can be done , question if you scan the coldkey nft will it bring you to a BTC block explorer? Because I see the real address is there but haven't tried to scan the card would be good to know thank you

Yes, the current use of NFTs is quite rudymentary.
I agree that it would be more coherent to have the NFT's on XCP if our endgoal was to provide NFTs that are similar to today ones.
In my eyes, Solana doesn't even come close to what BTCitcoin represents.

I can not share much more about this for now as we are still elaborating this project.
We chose Solana because it uses a different protocol than Ethereum which has many clones (BSC, Polygon/MATIC, Fantom just to name a few..)

We should witness new use cases develop on networks such as Solana and Bitgert, and we look to bring Coldkey to a next level regarding the functions it offers.
NFTs on Solana will be an integral part of this.

Well, 20 sets have been put up for sale.
The numbers that were available are not consecutive.

could be that some people got early access and those numbers were reserved for them - or the ones missing could be the ones in the upcoming auction(s).

There was no reservations granted to anyone.
The 2nd batch of 20 sets will be put up for sale around the end of the month.

Only the Gold and Silver ones are going to be auctioned.

I hope that the core products stay with bitcoin though - as a collector I will try to get any ck's that are made but I prefer bitcoin collectibles to others chains.

Yes, there is a reason but I don't feel comfortable sharing it.
I can be quite superstitious at times and this relates to one of my latest dreams...



No, just kidding.
It's just because that way, we made it impossible for us to provide x or y serial to the collectors requesting them.
We think this is more fair to everyone since I'd rather have people trade them later rather than reserve serial numbers moving further ahead.

This is just not something feasible fur us any longer.

I understand your reasoning but it's a tough pill to swallow for those of us that paid decent premium to aquire matching number history sets we planned to continue when this project picked up again. Please dont get me wrong im stoked more than most about coldkey being back in action, im not complaining just stating the obvious

Are you referring to History Coldkeys series?
 
If yes, we haven't decided yet how we will continue the history series, but we obviously take all feedback into consideration!

(The serials people subscribed for in the History release never applied to releases outside the History series).

No, but scanning it will show you the bitcoin address of the card, just like scanning the physical card.

Edit - I used to like the idea of block explorers being used in QR codes, but learned a long time ago that the block explorer url may not work someday (I can't think of the name, but like the one used on the older Kialara bars.

Also, yes, buying (and selling) NFT's can be super fast & easy on Solsea.io, I sometimes feel like a kid in candy store just clicking and then bam it's mine..

I have been a little bit too optimistic with this Wednesday date. 

Some sets have been shipped already yes.
Some more were ready but I wasn't satisfied regarding the quality of the cards and I ended up shredding and redoing these.

I needed a few more days, and I'm actively on it. In the end this batch is made of 80 Coldkeys.
I haven't made any for quite some time so I should have given ourselves some more wiggle room, timely.



We will have to postpone the release of the 2nd batch a little so we do not run in these problematics again.

We appreciate your patience as we figure out ways to always provide a better service to you all.

Just a small update to let you know that we have postponed the sales of the 2nd batch of 20 sets.
We don't have a precise date in mind, but it will happen sometimes in April.

Once this series has been completed, we will announce to you our upcoming ideas for the History series.

About the sales that happened on this thread :
I have been ill the last couple of days and I'll have to take it a bit slower until I get better.
Definitely, planning to finalize all shipments this Wednesday was a mistake.
This is what I aimed for, but I didn't manage to keep up with my objective.

The rest of the parcels are going out this next week.
Some shipments include more items so it's taking a bit more time to prepare.

All the NFTs are going to be minted and delivered to owners while the parcel is in transit.

The deadline for ordering additional NFTs for this batch is the 30th of March.

10 more sets are ready to grab now and the 2nd auction will also start shortly.

On the website, you can chose your prefered serial among the available ones.
Also if you chose to get the NFTs, you can supply your SOL address to us at a later stage.

The website is under construction but the shop works just fine and makes it easier on our end.
Shipping will happen the next day after you order.
