Good afternoon everyone!

Today I accidentally got send a btc transaction on an Electrum adress that I used over a week ago and now probably is expired.. Sad
I can't find this adress anywhere in my Wallet, except in the transaction data from the one that I did a week ago.
Does anyone know if I still recieve the send btc?
The blockchain explorer says the transaction is confirmed, but it still won't show up in my Electrum wallet.
Can anyone please help me figure this out? Huh

With kind regards,
Luc

It's the invoice that can expire and not the address.  Your funds should be there. Is your wallet synced with the servers? Can you see a green circle in the bottom of the app?

Also, try to use the following command in the console and see whether it returns true or false:

Code:
ismine("paste your receiving address here")

Hi OmegaStarScream,
Thank you for your quick reply!
In the bottom right corner of the Electrum program I indeed see the green dot, so it should be synced to the network. Can you tell me where I find "the console" to input the by you specefied command? I know for sure the adress is correct, because I copy and pasted it from the same place the previous transaction got it's adress from (that's why I made this stupid mistake)
Thank you again!

It's one of the tabs above your transactions:

If it's not there, go to the menu "View" > "Show Console":

If the command returns true it means that the address is inside that wallet you're currently using otherwise, it's not.

If you are 100% certain that you sent the coins to an "old" address from your Electrum wallet, you don't need to worry. What bothers me is the part where you said that the balance was never updated. Electrum's history updates as soon as a transaction is broadcasted, unless there is a connection problem. The history tab will show information about an incoming and still unconfirmed transaction as well.

If you can't figure out how to work with the console, check the 'Addresses' and 'Coins' tabs. You might need to enable them the same way OmegaStarScream explained for the 'Console' tab. Any balance updates there? In the 'Addresses' tab you can do CTRL+F and paste the address the coins were sent to. If the address is among the default 20 receiving or 10 change addresses, it should be highlighted.

If the address you copied is part of your wallet and Electrum is fully synced then the transaction should appear on the history tab.
But there is this:
I know for sure the adress is correct, because I copy and pasted it from the same place the previous transaction got it's adress from (that's why I made this stupid mistake)
Did you verify the address after you pasted it and made sure it's the same as the one you copied? There is a clipboard malware that changes the addresses on your clipboard with a malicious address which belongs to the attacker. Here is a topic explaining how this malware works: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V.

Exactly. But it is also good for LucdeHoogh to note that clipboard malware can also happen on any copy/paste device (be it mobile or computer), if the Trojan infect mobile or computer device, copied/pasted address would be changed from original address to an attacker's address. It is not also only about while sending bitcoin to someone, it can even happen while sending address to someone.

In the bottom right corner of the Electrum program I indeed see the green dot, so it should be synced to the network.

Sometimes it won't sync properly based on my old experience my Electrum wallet is not syncing even it is a green circle I can able to send but can't able to retrieve data or update balance and transaction history.

The only solution that I did is to change my PC DNS and all issue was fixed.
So if you are sure and check the address where you sent BTC is yours then maybe your issue is the same as mine.

If your issue is still not fixed then try to change your device or PC to Google DNS(8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS(1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1)
