Hello, Good Afternoon, I am Affandi from bitcointalk forum member, my rank is Hero Member, I would like to appeal the ban on sending private messages permanently. I know it's wrong to intentionally post plagiarism because to add a post, I was quite surprised because it was immediately banned permanently and there was no warning and I want to apologize and hope that the moderators of bitcointalk can lighten my sentence.

I hope to get a second chance, I want to be better and useful to post because of this penalty and I will not repeat the mistake again, I hope bitcointalk moderators can lighten my sentence.

Your profile has now been changed to autoban and should not only restrict you from sending messages but also you can't post anything on the forum. Plagiarism is actually very hated by forum and every user has been warned that if you break the rules, you have to be prepared for the consequences i.e. autoban.

To be honest, I don't know if the mod will reconsider your account and forgive your mistake after breaking the plagiarism rules but if you really do it on purpose then it will be hard to get an apology. I don't know what contributions you've made so far for mods to consider, usually it's also useful (but not all).

Even if you don't take everything verbatim from the original poster or source then you have also committed plagiarism. So far I can't find a post where you plagiarized, but maybe someone has reported your posting it to the mod to deal with. But the good thing now is, you admit that you have committed plagiarism.

I didn't find anyone reporting your post in this thread Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed, but maybe they just used the report to mod button instead.

Sadly permaban is irreversible due to the seriousness of your offense. I don’t remember any case of permaban here due to plagiarism that was resolve or given a chance. You are a hero member and that’s not an excuse to do it just to complete your post quota in bounty campaigns. You should abstain in joining campaign if you feel that you couldn’t make a single post on your own. I don’t wan to discourage you or to loss your hope but this should be lesson learned. Let’s see if Theymos will give you a chance since your reason is not acceptable because you admit that you know you are plagiarizing when posting.

I'm sorry because honestly I can't do anything for you even though you are a local Indonesian user. It's clear that any violators of those rules will be punished in proportion to the mistake they made, but if it's plagiarism then I think you've made a big mistake.

There are not many users whose status changes to autoban because plagiarism will be canceled, but some forum contributors may experience it when they completely forget to link to the original source. I hope the mod can hear your apology although I think your chances of being forgiven are slim.

Then you deserve the ban and you were. I believe plagiarism should have no mercy regardless of whether it's few words or a sentence or a single time. Anyway, if you want to be unbanned, this is what you have to do:

If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.

Considering you haven't earned a single Merit, and you had at least 136 posts deleted (that's 20% of your remaining post count), I don't think you'll qualify.

You have every right to regret doing that after a permanent ban is imposed by a mod on your account but I bet you never thought that you would get a ban when plagiarizing. actually, lovesmayfamilis got banned before due to plagiarism but because of the contribution she made to the forum, her ban was reduced to a temporary ban and a signature ban(I forgot how long the temp ban is and the signature ban).

Conflicting sentences. You know killing someone is wrong but you were surprised when police arrested you for that crime. Isn't funny? So police give you a warning after you do a crime? Why do you intentionally post plagiarism? You want to steal someone else work and just pass it as your own.

I don't see any good reason to unban your account. If there is any, please show here why do you believe the account should unban. Show your past contributions to the forum. But doubts admin will help you since you consciously plagiarised.

As LoyceV has answered, I don't think the OP has much of a chance of getting a second chance even though he can defend himself on some grounds. I really feel sorry for what he has done that ultimately makes him feel very guilty, and it's true what people say "regret always comes too late".

Violating rule No. 33 is something that is very hard to forgive, but only a small percentage of people get a second chance thanks to their contributions to the forum. The quote in LoyceV's post from theymos seems very clear for everyone to understand including the OP. This really should be a valuable lesson for anyone, now and in the future.
