I can't say a lot about thsi but is not it better if you are visiting the thread directly to know more about that? I meant there are so many campaigns ended and you can see how much is earned by participants in any campaign. that will give you a small insight about how profitable bounty is these days but im sure that the result depends on your analysis. I meant when you are choosing the project and this means if the reward totally depends on what you have been chosen to participate in it. It's profitable if you can find the trusted campaign that paid its participants but sometimes you will be also facing a campaign that didn't wanna pay the participants.
You can also earn nothing from there.

I often hear this question many times.
it's depend what bounty you followed. this is very likely gambling when you don't know about the project (presale with exchange didn't listed yet). Better to follow with exchangeable payment like another people followed if you want got profit, but it's also hard because that too many competitor.

You are visting this forum after a long time and looking at the number of posts you made and the fact that you have received zero merit till date, only shows one thing, you have been a bounty spammer for a long time but this is not the end, you can change and start to improve your rank by making decent posts and helping out the community thereby gathering merits.

If you ask me, bounties are a waste of time. Once you get a higher rank, try the bitcoin paying signature campaigns. With bounties, half will turn scam and the other half will fail in raising money. Why take those risks when you can earn bitcoin every month?

I also see that you had posted in the India Local boards. If you are a native of India, do be active in our local sections, we have some Merit sources there too.

Looking at your post history, it's clear that you're following social media campaigns more, let's be honest nowadays social media campaigns are yielding very little results. you better focus on increasing your account rank so you can join signature campaigns that give far more rewards than social media.

Depending on the success of the project you are supporting, in general, it's not as profitable as in the past but you can always try it your own, besides, when you are in bounty, you don't invest money so you don't lose any, all you need is patience and invest your time.

They say, invest your time wisely, so choose the right bounty that you think could pay you in the end, and have a mind like an investor in evaluating the project as your reward mostly depends on the success of the project.

Not so profitable I say. You need to look at the project first and think if they're going to be successful with their launching and crowd sale. Results do vary and the bounty won't be successful if the sale isn't successful as well. Think of it on where the value of the tokens that are going to be shared for that bounty. It's going to come from the crowd sale and the value will be determined by its market. So, its status is really going to rely on it.

These days, most projects do not even succeed from their ICO-like funding, so it is not logical to expect that bounty programs will be profitable just the same. At the end of the day, failed/scam projects will never earn any profits for bounty hunters. If they do earn any, these profits will not be enough to cover the time invested for doing bounties. So, if there is any reason to actually participate in a bounty program, I would say that there are none at all!

No one can answer that question but one is certain. If you are going to participate in bounty campaign there is a 50 or higher chances that you will receive a minimal payment and higher chance that the certain coin won't have value in the future. Since most of the bounty campaigns are new project which looking for a big advertisement or traffic by paying or sharing their token to the participants but not all projects are good and most of the time is just a waste of time, so if you are planning it as a full time job, don't.

I think that you do have an idea how profitable they are right now. You have two ethereum addresses on your profile and upon checking them, you've got a nice decent amount of ethereum on hold.
And for the erc20 tokens, you've got a lot of tokens on hold there and I assume most of them are from the bounties that you've joined but the value isn't that much combined.

It's profitable when you can join in the bounty that's putting limit on its participants. There are some campaigns who have been doing this and yeah you can get decent reward when you are able to join in this project. Some managers didn't have put limit on its maximum participants and when you are joining in this bounty and im sure that if you will be getting small amounts of reward.
How good the project will be also determining how much you can earn from participating in the bounty. You have participated in the social media campaign and i guess you have ever received your reward but the different story when your campaign got failed. No one can answer your question accurately.

I dont think the OP has got an answer by now, they have been online but they did not make any post here or anywhere else.

In case the OP is still following this thread, follow the suggestions from different members and try to join meaningful discussions and earn merits like everyone else in the forum is trying to while accumulating activity and reaching the upper ranks. Then apply for signature campaigns and earn bitcoin from them. Why waste time on shitcoins which are going to either end as failures or never get listed on exchanges?

I think the current bounty is still quite lucrative, however, it's better not to just participate in social media campaigns. it is more profitable to join a content campaign, whitepaper translation or Bitcointalk signature. And don't forget to observe a trusted bounty manager, because good projects will choose a trusted bounty manager to manage project campaign.

if you are seeking for an answer that has lot of positive words then I might discourage you in believing such because remember that Bounty should be the riskiest and time spending strategy to profit here in crypto .

but this is also not requiring any capital to start up and this is the reason why most newbie engage in this .

But I'm afraid this is still profitable now as most of my Bounty hunters friend had diverted in NFT gaming now and stops bounty hunting .

four years from the beginning until now op has been active as a bounty hunter and the questions asked seem unsure about this job at this time....
and I personally think it is very profitable if done seriously because we don't need funds to do it, we just need to take the time for it.
the point is we have to be smart in choosing projects that are not random, so that the opportunity to receive a bigger payment even though the bounty is no longer like 2018 was like when we first joined here and because of the many crypto earning opportunities outside, the a number of old members have started to leave it

Why don't you just visit the ended campaign and try to see how many tokens or money already got by the hunters through the final spreadsheet?
This will become a sense answer for you and you must not be a lazy person as well. Think about that.

Bounty campaign right now have no assurance as many fail or didn't pay their participants base on what they have written on their thread and your friend is so lucky to hit a jackpot on the campaign since right at this moment therr are very few campaigns pays good to their members. If we want to try our luck then then its good  to join all of them in social media campaigns since for this we can increase our chance to get paid for our efforts.
