Don't fall to these kind of fake emails. Non custodial wallets will never ask for KYC. So, if someone receive these kind of e-mails please stay away from it. This is kind of an attack to enter the wallet. Stay away and safeguard the holdings. A small mistake can lead to loss of funds which couldn't be recovered.

I have to say, it has become quite impressive how well some of these fakes have been crafted.

It's funny though, if your understand anything about how wallets/exchanges work, you would have never fell for it in the first place. Good thing wallet devs/exchanges do a decent job warning people about these threats.

I've receiving these "need to verify metamask wallet" emails quite often. I cant realize somebody be stupid enough to go through this procedure, as there is no verify option at all in metamask. This scam is oriented on a total newbies, because people that were able to set a widget or create metamast wallet know that it is anonymous.

Up until now we can’t deny of how fast the development of new online scamming schemes is. The web presentation shows exactly like the real one and that’s how the newbie can be easily baited by these scammers. If you’re really aware of these scams, you would totally check the website first if it does have exact spelling and letters placement.

It’s quite easy to avoid getting scammed or phished to be honest. It doesn’t take much intelligence to avoid those kind of pretty basic attacks. I guess the only thing that can slip you up is complacency, if you’re tired or something because most people with half a brain won’t fall for it. If you’re unsure always check the author email.

First, obviously, thank you for the information you provide for providing information for all of us not to fall and be deceived by this.
Indeed, for a long time, irresponsible people / fraudsters have often used the method of sending certain links via email addresses, because it is the easiest and most often seems to be able to trick people because they most likely don't correct it anymore due to the possible number of incoming emails and it seems that the fraudsters saw the weakness because many are not careful anymore.

It seems that fraudsters have not only penetrated email, but have also entered Twitter, Telegram, and social media which are widely used as communication tools. because the fraudster hopes that from the many people who are sent the link there will be who do not understand and do what the fraudster expects. because they see the activities that occur on every social media that is widely used, it will be certain that someone is not careful and falls into their trap of fraud.

indeed we always have to be careful and get used to not opening anything from people we don't know, this is one way we can avoid fraud. Of course, a role like yours is highly appreciated for being able to reduce fraudsters wandering around and taking unwise actions.

Not just Metamask, but also other wallets like Trust Wallet, IMToken, etc. I just simply laughed it off and delete them permanently. It’s quite absurd to see Metamask and other non-custodial wallets asking us for information like this.

The scammers are getting smarter than ever. If their strategy didn’t work, they’re not going to stop adding some little spices to it to easily deceive newbies and beginners.

Until now, there are still some who are prone to getting victimized by these phishing emails.

Well, I am a newbie. But, In my opinion. This thread doesn't suit off-topic. Not so many people will see this thread. Since this was a Scam attempt, You can move this thread to Scam Accusations board. A lot of people often visit scam accusations boards to discover.

I tend to be very cations when opening emails, especially when it’s from any email address I don’t have regular correspondence with. I was hacked before so I am well aware of the dangers of making mistakes on line.
Just the other day, I got an email from my rental company asking me for my account information. I was super skeptical at first and actually sent and email back regarding the suspicious email.
The company wrote a more personal reply from a name I recognized so I knew it was legit but you have to be cautious with your personal information nowadays.
