Best defi RSK Blockchain platform

Hello everyone!

I'm new to this forum and I thought it was a good place to ask this question since all kinds of blockchains are discussed here.

I deal a lot with the RSK Blockchain because it seems to me the most secure EVM in the market due to the fact that it takes advantage of BTC miners and that is why they say it is the second most decentralized blockchain out there.

That's why I manage all my Bitcoin savings inside RSK in its own version called rBTC.

I was watching and there are two relatively well-known DEFI platforms within this blockchain, one is called Sovryn and the other Tropykus.

I wanted to know if anyone had experience in this Blockchain with any of these platforms. I was also looking at MoneyOnChain which is not Defi but is something like leveraged Bitcoin.

As I don't like crypto with leverage I wanted to see about investing in DEFI.

Sovryn was even more popular than tropykus but both have very bad performance at this moment. Sovryn was loosing more and more value. As far i know trypykus is not yet traded on the exchange site but i can't deny that if almost all of projects built in RSK network have worst performance at this moment. This blockchain is well running by bitcoin miners as well but this lack of users.
The RSK developers didn't even do something to at least promote this side chain for bitcoin. Sovryn may become the best defi in RSK ecosystem but this will not gonna be for long term.
People are also slowly leaving this defi. So many things already happened.


I didn't even expect too much from investing in the RSK defi.

Sovryn is already cheap considering it's ath, how cheap do you want it to be? Presale price perhaps. 
Among the reason why sov is this cheap is because of the low popularity and hype, very few people know about sov and very few people know about the risk network.

Sovryn is the only one am familiar with among the project @op mentioned. Tropykus is a project am hearing for the first time, but I will rather go with what am familiar with, although  sovryn is struggling now but who knows what the future holds, as long as the team are dedicated, continue with project development am sure Sovryn will be okay in the long run.

When the price will be plunged even deeper than before and then people will be yelling it as a scam token. The problem is how to attract more users to use this blockchain. I have ever used this blockchain and in my experience if this is also cheapest blockchain. I just wanna remind you that if these days bitcoin transaction is so cheap as well so there's no point to use RBTC instead of lightning network bitcoin.
Both were very cheap and sovryn must have done a bridge to the bitcoin lightning network to increase the demand.
RSK is still so far to be called as a reliable blockchain platform.

I think that the best Dapp on RSK is Money on chain by far, because of its design. Maintining the DoC stablecoin pegged with the usd via the 2 diffenrets coins (xbtc and bpro if im right) is very innovative. I still dont understand why i havent seen this same kind of stablecoin on any other blockchain.
If you are a bitcoin lover you should love RSK, and moreover the BPRO token (im a bpro holder too).
Then, for DeFi, Sovryn and Tropykus seem to be the top dapps on RSK, but they dont have that much user base as other blockchains. Maybe its just a matter of time till they arrive. The value of RSK is much more than it has today, at least for me.
Im always getting a look at it and i hope more people find about it.

Sovryn is popular maybe because there is indeed a signature campaign on this forum too. many participants also joined and could get a fairly expensive price at that time.
but currently, SOV is very cheap, don't know why with the platform. is not running and has very quiet fans.
Sovryn also made several sales for a new project using the RSK network. like FISH tokens, which end up being cheap too.

The hype already gone and it will never come again. It'll never come back again even when this side chain of bitcoin doing a massive upgrade to its protocol. Lack of responsiveness, difficult even to convert RBTC to the BTC due to the low liquidity and many more. This side chain is not worth it for now. I will pick another side chain like a stack rather than RSK.

The price for each sovryn token is very cheap right now. You can buy that for a few dollars. It has been decreasing a lot since last year. This platform has no volume and it's almost dead.
The problem is RSK is not a popular blockchain. people prefer to use LN instead of side chain.

I belive that RSK is adding smart functionality to Bitcoin. It's going to help BTC maintain relevance in the long term. and its something to not overlook

RBTC is equal to WBTC, but if the decentralization is what you look, maybe you are right about RSK. Personally i get RBTC to have always "gas" to move my assets in case of emergency but prefer have it making some passive income, 'cos if we hold BTC have RBTC its the same.

of the network existing today, this one looks robust. but well is lack of people and volume if we see the graphics. Just need some marketing. Recently heard about a project called blindex deployed on RSK, they are giving some goods interest, but I think need investigate more. a Friend told me he lock up some investments there! have to ask him, and then bring some news about this Blindex Page!

RBTC imo is not a major issue assuming the network is  popular, you can get rbtc from kucoin for your transaction fees.

All the rsk network need is exposure through aggressive marketing, creating awareness in all available means so that the crypto community will be aware of this blockchain, understand how it works and build on it. Once this happens, all projects on the rsk network will have some form of recognition

With time more projects will launch in the rsk network who understand and want a fully transparent and decentralized  network, and who wants to build smart contract  using the bitcoin network

well, i see pretty bad development of sorvyrn. to be honest i've been trying to find information about this for a long time, and i'm seeing pretty bad sovryn progress with this network system. other than that, not many coins use the RSK network, so I think people will tend to gravitate towards the existing network. well, talking about the sovryn that uses this network, the price is even very dump from the initial price, even more than 100%. this indicates that this system is increasingly losing its popularity.

With this they should increase the amount of users using the blockchain and push the projects.

What if, SOV is far away from ATH, I don't know why it fell so much, although in reality the whole crypto market is unstable because of the war with Ukraine.

I hope so but let's see. To be honest stack even more popular compared with RSK. I doubt if this can surpass stack easily. Everyday, the way for RSK to surpass stack became even harder.

When you are seeing some tokens like GMT, Terra luna and yeah they are keep making more and more new ATH in any moments. that's quite different with any projects in the RSK network and i think that the war has no big impact to the some crypto as long as it has very strong fundamental.

I think that the best Dapp on RSK is Money on chain by far, because of its design. Maintining the DoC stablecoin pegged with the usd via the 2 diffenrets coins (xbtc and bpro if im right) is very innovative.

Is it really pegged via both BTCX and BPRO? As far as I understood from the article “What if bitcoin had a flash crash” (https://moneyonchain.com/blog/what-if-bitcoin-had-a-flash-crash/), DoC is pegged via BPro only. Moreover, there is something strange with the pegging mechanism. In the article, they explain one case:

Alice is a BPro hodler and Bob gets paid in DoC and spends some in his daily life while some DoC tokens are providing liquidity to a pool.

Global Coverage between 4 and 2 scenario:

Alice can mint more Bpro tokens, but won’t be able to redeem them.
Bob can redeem his DoC tokens for rBTC, but won’t be able to mint them back.
This will increase the Global Coverage.

Below the level of 2, automatic incentives are triggered, so that Alice and Bob can mint BPro at discount prices. The lower the coverage, the greater the discount.

So, what if the start of the protocol is with the BTC/USD rate 10 000, and Alice mints 3 BPro for her 3 BTC, while Bob mints 10 000 DoC for his 1 BTC?
The full amount of DoC is 10 000, and the full amount of BTC locked in the protocol is 4.
With the BTC/USD rate 10 000, the dollar price of all the locked bitcoins is 4 times higher than the total quantity of DoC, thus the global coverage is 4.
If Alice redeems 2.5 BPro immediately, and gets back her 2.5 BTC, so that the global coverage falls to 1.5, she can get a 50% discount for minting new BPro tokens. Then she mints 5 BPro for her 2.5 BTC.
The global coverage returns to 4, but the BPro value dramatically falls. Initially, 3 BPro were equal to 3 BTC, and at the end 5.5 BPro are equal to 3 BTC.

This scheme makes no sense if there are only two participants (Alice and Bob). But incase there are many BPro holders, each of those who holds a big amount can bring down the BPro value and cause damage to all other holders at any moment.

Do I understand the mechanism correctly?
