Hi, friend. btw recently i know bitcoin or cryptoqurrency along with a wallet mobile (Trustwallet).
I'm interested in using a web wallet or some kind of extension (metamask) But the problem is that (metamask) doesn't support BTC assets and I plan to store BTC assets on a PC with the aim of using them to trade without having to go through a mobile phone.
please recommend. Thank you in advance.

Trust wallet is close, close source wallets are not recommendable as the source code is not available for the public to view.

For bitcoin, on PC, use https://electrum.org, make sure you verify its verify its signature.

For altcoins, I will recommend open source hardware wallet while also good to use cold wallet for large amount of bitcoin.

I just downloaded and tested it?
but why does it say (expires about 24 hours) is this wallet only valid 24 hours from now?

I'm still confused about the Electrum wallet.

Addresses do not expire. Any address generated by your wallet can be used forever.
That's the request which is expired, not the bitcoin address.

Note that you don't even need to make a request. For receiving bitcoin, you can go to "Addresses" tab and pick an address from the list displayed there.
If "Addresses" tab is not available, click on "View" at top of the window and select "Show addresses".

  • Check Recommended wallets from Jameson Lopp. Electrum is a good one to go if you don't want to spend too much storage in your disk for wallet storage. Electrum is a SPV wallet so it is light to use for aforementioned reasons.
  • With Electrum, you can use it on mobile too.
  • Don't trust, verify any wallet before you use it

What exactly you are looking for? Are you looking for Bitcoin wallet Chrome extension/plugin just like Metamask?

I never heard of any Bitcoin wallet with a Chrome extension before compared to Ethereum wallet but I search a bit there are lots of Wallet Chrome extensions but the problem most of them are not well-known except Coinbase.

You can try Coinbase the guide can be found here https://www.coinbase.com/wallet/getting-started-extension
Keep in mind always keep the seed phrase backup somewhere safe.

I used to use Jax wallet in early 2017 (Chrome extension), but i don't remember if it's custudial or non-custodial one. I remember that pk can be exported as well as importing new keys. i searched about it and found a similar wallet called Jax Library ; i don't know if it's the same old Jax wallet or a derivative from it.
Op please do your own researches before using it .

I haven't used any extensions other than the one I used for the forum, but you should be cautious about how you want to use extensions, particularly with Bitcoin. I don't want to encroach on your privacy, but why would you want to use a Bitcoin wallet extension when there are other options like Electrum, Samurai and Wasabi, they are decent for privacy and security but not as great as a hardware wallet, you should try to get one for your bitcoin storage if you can afford it.

I suggest don't use a multi coins wallet for your Bitcoin, use a single wallet that is only intended for storing Bitcoin and I think Electrum is already enough which is safe and open-source wallet.  Be careful on downloading chrome wallet extension, there has been reports recently that many people has been scammed and drained their wallet because of the phishing link that they downloaded.

Most of the wallet chrome extensions are prone to hack upon using third-party software through their API.  It's not recommendable at all.
As most suggested above was right, choose a better open-source wallet than the chrome extension wallets.

Since you can able to have seed phrase backup and private keys it's non-custodial but the problem is their Chrome extension was last updated September 2021 unlike the Coinbase extension updated a few days ago.

Actually, I never heard about Jax Library maybe you are talking about Jaxx liberty? If you mean Jax Library you maybe heard a fake Jaxx wallet which is already reported years ago.

@katakbizer
If you are going to use Jaxx wallet make sure you are on the right official website you can download the extension here https://www.jaxx.io/downloads
Be careful on searching it and click ads on Google because there is some fake website that looks similar.

You can find recommended wallets here -  [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why? the list also contains names of wallets that are web wallets. I do not think those wallets come with browser extensions. Crypto.com is a non-custodial multipurpose wallet that comes with a browser extension.

You should avoid using browser extensions for something that requires extra security measures such as a bitcoin (or cryptocurrency) wallet. For starters when you download the extension from the web stores, you are essentially downloading a closed source tool that you can never know what it really does and it could be doing something malicious.
On top of that, browsers have never been safe to begin with. Letting them handle your private keys is a terrible idea. It is like begging to be hacked.

There are few web wallets and browser extensions that support Bitcoin along with other shitcoins, but I would not suggest using them as your main wallet.
Only use this wallets for smaller amounts of coins, for daily transactions, or for testing purposes.
Maybe the best option I know is open source project called Liquality, that is browser extension that works both in Firefox and Chromium based browsers.
It is non-custodial and you can use Liquality as a wallet and even for swapping with other coins using Atmoic swaps.
I am not supporting this wallet in any way but I think it suits your need, and you can find more information to research on links below:

Website: https://liquality.io/
github page: https://github.com/liquality

I've never used any extension wallet for bitcoin, I don't advise it. Especially for a newbie, you might compromise your own fund by using one if there's any.

Because with most of the extension wallets, this is where many have been thinking how they've been hacked. Well, if it's from unknown source, that's one possible reason. But due to some tactics of these hackers, you may not know that you're already targeted by them and you've given your private keys or seed phrases voluntarily.

That's why, it's advisable to use hardware wallets or those other desktop wallets that are well trusted by the community like electrum, bitcoin core, wasabi and samourai.

Why not hardware wallet?
It's pretty easy to use, you can store bitcoin and altcoin too.
With hardware wallets, you can have great safety as you are planning to store BTC which I believe for long term. Hardware wallets allow you to transact offline.
It doesn’t require you to invest a lot of money for the wallet. You can get a good one with $100-$200. I believe it worths for the safety of your investment.

Buy Hardware wallet you can connect it with some good open source wallet:

  • Bitcoin: you can connect it with Electrum wallet
  • Ethereum: you can connect it with New wallet, and connect it with all DeFi coins/chains.
  • Other altcoins: you can manage them using hardware wallet software.

Using Bitcoin in a phone wallet is much better than a computer, Windows attracts a lot of hackers and viruses, if you are not careful, it is better to think of a hardware wallet or a phone wallet.

Choose your hardware wallet from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5288971.0
