just today i had an issue in my rig due to power outage
long story short it seems one riser was busted and had this in my inventory so i used it for the first time:
https://www.amazon.com.tr/gp/product/B09HH1R6LN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

funny enough i used the same OC settings as before,

but instead of getting 62 MHs in ETH now am getting just 50-52 and fluctuating
i might see it hitting 59 MHs one time but then back to 50-52
this is really strange because other cards on the same rig now got their hashrate dropped, despite running fine for over a year on the old risers !  Huh Huh Huh

Any explanation for this weird behavior ??! and what to do regarding this considerable hashrate drop after changing a riser ! can riser change impact the OC clocks ?!?!...

on the other hand, i am having power outages (for 2 seconds) twice a day sometimes 4 times a day in my building ! my rigs keep losing power and they reboot and start mining automatically, what should i do to prevent them from damage ?? power outages is really popular here in turkey unfortunately !...

thanks,

I don't know about hashrate fluctuations due to USB risers. I've never experienced this before across 300 different video cards.

But I can definitely tell you that you shouldn't buy a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to deal with the power outages. It will be very expensive. Just make sure your rig can boot up within 2 minutes and get back to mining (which you say it does). That's the best you can do.

Changing the riser won't affect the hashrate.
LHR checks lanes so going from an x16 slot to an x1 riser might trigger LHR if it's an LHR card.
Reboots can affect settings but you said the settings didn't change.
Try swapping the card with one in another slot.

You still not dropping the right information

1. What OS are you running on? Linux or Windows?
2. Do you change the riser completely or the riser's USB only.
3. Are you using an LHR card or a Non-LHR card?.

Change the miner I'm guessing you are using a LHR card? You can swap the riser and insert it in the x16 PCIe slot just to find out what's going on, use hive OS instead of windows OS for LHR cards you can easily configure them.
