Let's list some facts first. Russia is facing serious problems in Ukraine and these are only going to get worse since there are already food shortages both on the battle front and in Russia. For instance they're running out of sugar in the motherland and soldiers sent to Ukraine barely had enough military rations to last a few weeks and we're now much longer into the conflict. Hungry Russian soldiers are trying to get food from the locals with poor results like those poor bastards who, according to the reports, died after eating food poisoned by the Ukrainians. Soon forests are going to offer much better cover for Ukrainian artillery groups and snipers and it's going to become much harder for Russians to coordinate air strikes. Russian nuclear forces were put on high alert almost a month ago. In response France put one additional submarine armed with nuclear missiles on a patrol mission. It now has 2 ships ready to respond. France also conducted a test of its new nuclear missile ASMPA-RUSA brought Patriot defense systems to Europe and placed them around the border with Ukraine, in Romania, Slovakia and Poland. These systems are meant to shoot down incoming missiles. Poland proposed an international peace mission to be sent to Ukraine, to which proposal the president of Belarus responded that such a mission would start another world war and a Russian propagandist said on national TV that Russia would destroy Warsaw in 30 seconds with a nuclear strike, to which threats Polish president responded "don't try to scare me or you will shit yourself" Yesterday news came out that Russia made a list of countries it wants to "denazify" and those are Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova and Kazakhstan. On March 25, a statement was made by Moscow City Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Sergei Savostyanov, who is convinced that “the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine will ensure sustainable security for the peoples of Ukraine, Russia and all of Europe.” “For a more complete process of ensuring the security of the Russian Federation, in addition to Ukraine, I consider it expedient to include the Baltic states in the denazification and demilitarization zone [Литвa, Лaтвия, Эcтoния]Poland, Moldova and Kazakhstan https://www.world-today-news.com/denazification-russia-targets-six-more-countries/Some of these countries are members of the NATO and the EU and are armed at least as good as Ukraine was before the invasion. There's also a large number of US soldiers stationed there, so a conventional assault would only mean more losses for Russia. If they really decide to follow through with the plan the only option left for them is a nuclear attack, but that would be suicidal for Russia. This looks like a new Cold War is brewing. I'd expect Russians to dispose of Putin before he decides to kill them all, but there's a lot of Russians who support the invasion of Europe. Half of the nation is apparently retarded and brainwashed into thinking they could win a war with NATO.

To be fair, a member of Moscow Duma doesn't speak for Russia's foreign policy any more than some hillbilly in Podunk town council could speak for US foreign policy. Same goes for some idiot on Russian state TV vs Tucker Carlson.
Having said that, Lavrov and Zakharova have been talking shit too, but theirs is more generic, like we reserve the right to fight the imperialist pigs if they attempt to give airplanes to Ukraine etc, because really that's the only thing they can do - try to scare NATO, "look, we're absolute morons and can't be trusted, don't push us or we'll use nukes". I doubt they actually would.
"Cold" war is pretty much in progress. Russia has cut itself off quite comprehensively, propaganda is massive, sanctions are in place. I could see Putin taking on Moldova if they could take Odessa, but that seems increasingly unlikely. Same for other places that he fucked with previously, like Georgia - there are rumors that Russia is actually moving troops out of Ossetia to replenish losses in Ukraine.

Biden says Putin cannot stay in power: https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/26/politics/biden-warsaw-saturday/index.htmlI'd be less worried about the Russians killing Putin and more worried about the West trying to implement a regime change. Putin would use nukes before he would involuntarily give up power. And it isn't apparent to me how much the Russian people are against the war. The amount of propaganda coming out of Russia would make you believe there is still widespread support for Putin, but that isn't a true indication of public support. The Ukrainian side of the propaganda war would make you believe the contrary. Truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Anyway, the chance of nuclear weapons being used are probably higher than what Ukrainians would be comfortable with, but still unlikely relatively speaking (one can hope, at least).

No one can actually predict what this invasion could lead to , but a possible Nuclear war could happen if Russia crosses red line set by US and it's NATO allies because Russia would only have one option left for them to fight back by using Nuclear weapon, as already stated by Putin that he has put all their Nuclear weapons on high alert should any country intervene.

First rule of war: Anything the enemy says is disinformation. Whatever the Duma says is simply looking to confuse, demoralise, mislead or otherwise make the war effort more difficult.
On nuclear strikes, Putin should know well - or at least the people around him - that there is no winner to a nuclear war. No territorial gains, no political gains, no economic gains, no glory or reputation, only death and destruction for all, including Russia, Putin and his supporters.
Putin cannot dream of invading Finland, Poland or Romania without the rest of Europe and US sending a massive aid in conventional weapons. The most likely outcome of another war like this one is Putin killed by his own men and / or Putin's army so damaged that he would not be able to wage war again.

Macron has already criticized Biden for verbally attacking Putin. I don't get the French. On one hand they conduct nuclear tests, put nuclear submarines on alert, on the other they are afraid of Calling Putin a murderer that he is. They could do it "unintentionally" like when they shot down that Malaysian jet or when they shot at various privately owned ships in the Black Sea. Those idiots are known to shoot at anything that moves and they used to do it for decades literally. During their war with Japan in 1905 Russia ordered their Baltic Fleet to go around Europe to Japan, but before they even managed to leave the Baltic Sea that operation shot at British fishing boats and their own ship which resulted in Royal Navy chasing the Russians and stopping the whole fleet from going through the Suez canal. Russians had to sail around Africa just to later be wiped out by the Japanese. I wouldn't be surprised if one of their missiles hit one of the NATO countries. Their soviet-made drone has already crashed in Croatia a few weeks ago.

This is a stereotype from the times of the Caribbean crisis, at the present time I think it can already be questioned, given the progress in numerical modeling and a deeper understanding of the nature of a nuclear reaction and the ability to control it. The demonstration of the Kinzhal hypersonic missile was very impressive, Russia did what the US thought was impossible, and this overwhelming advantage in delivery speed violates the status quo and the equilibrium parity of forces in the world. A technically difficult task, in principle, does not seem too impossible when it comes to delivering a coordinated nuclear strike on all unfriendly countries at the same time, so calibrated in terms of power that the climatic consequences for the planet are not too dramatic and one can completely continue to live on it without envying the dead. There is also the problem of intercepting reciprocal warheads, I think it is also quite solvable with the help of the S-400 and S-500 anti-missile systems that Putin has. The United States now has nothing to oppose to Russia in terms of force. I would not completely exclude other possible scenarios for the development of events with the use of nuclear weapons. For example, Russia has been formally at war with Japan since 1945 and a peace treaty has not been signed with it. Japan is on the list of unfriendly countries with an open state of war - this is a serious security threat to Russia. This actually opens the green light for Putin to destroy Japan with a massive nuclear strike on all major cities and important infrastructure. What will NATO do in such a situation, gather for an extraordinary summit? And if, simultaneously with Japan, a massive nuclear strike is inflicted on the UK? I think the Kremlin is working on different scenarios, including the unlikely ones. The question is whether NATO is working on such options, or do they still firmly believe in stereotypes from the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis?

Putin can be very stubborn, news from according to Joe Biden, that he must have locked up he's advicers because they're are scared. Honestly speaking, I'm already scared of Putin, because if this does happens were Fvcked up, I just can see humans die. If you know the effects of nuclear weapons, you'll be shivering.

Unfortunately politicians are what they are. Read history of the "Cuban Missile Crisis", which was very very very near US /CCCP nuking each other. And for what reason?
However, Ukraine is next to Russia and any nuke there poses danger directly to Russia itself, including St.Petersburg, which is home town of the Putin he loves. Maybe they use tactical nukes if if desperate situation, but in a such case NATO doesn't respond. Because it's clear it most likely leads to full scale nuking - that would be the ultimate doomsday for the planet Earth.

Trying to read about that one though I'm not sure how exactly it's going to reduce the environmental impacts of a nuclear strike. Still, it's rather a waste to fill opposing countries with fallout even if don't affect the global climate, all that perfectly good land could have been used for something. Not to mention Russia would end up being surrounded by radioactive neighbors that it can't trade with if it went this route. So, I think conventional is still the way to go.

I don't think Russian leadership will ever choose to go for Nuclear option , hope wisdom will prevail and Nuclear option will never be used, nuclear weapons have proved to be an effective deterrent to prevent WW3 and not meant to be used. The major concern of Russia was that Ukraine should not join NATO to keep westerns military's arsenal away from its borders which in my opinion is a genuine concern but Ukraine President didn't listen to him and put his country in a serious trouble which will not end soon.

That's what I also believe, on the one hand, Putin could potentially use nuclear weapons, to contradict the fact that he's losing the war, while on the other hand, that would not only be disastrous for Ukraine, but for the whole world, which would lead to a series of bombing, leading to a devastated, uninhabitable world. On nuclear strikes, Putin should know well - or at least the people around him - that there is no winner to a nuclear war. No territorial gains, no political gains, no economic gains, no glory or reputation, only death and destruction for all, including Russia, Putin and his supporters.
Still stock up on those iodine pills, just in case. We never know with people like Putin and Biden. No point in stocking up on iodine pills, there are people who actually need them, taking a single pill won't revert that the world would be destroyed after a nuclear attack, thus the living conditions would be that terrible, that iodine and radiation will be the least of your problems.

It was quite something to see the White House immediately walk back Biden's comments about Putin being a war criminal and how he needed to be ousted as the Russian President. Macron is level headed, taking the precautions he needs in the event of a nuclear war but also recognizing reckless comments by Biden which escalate the situation. French may not doing but, but they're doing better than Biden. If Putin were to fear a legitimate threat of regime change by the U.S., he would use nukes before involuntarily resigning (or getting assassinated, U.S. loves those).

well the united states set a good example when it was unwilling to continue the costly conventional war against japan in 1945
putin will take that as an example and ukranian stubbornness will ultimately get punished as hard as japanese and german one.
this is sad and i don't want it but it looks sadly like that. Ukranian Morons are letting the woke push them towards Moscow

Nukes is the last point these wars could turn and I greatly doubt it would come to that. Of course Putin could go irrational about this if pushed but that's only when pushed and I'm sure no one is ready to go that length in testing out Putin on his pronouncement.
He's has done enough to prove that his out for whatever in the defence of Russia and he knows what's at stake and won't jeopardise it for any reason.
US as the world power's hands are tied on this and can't put the world in further danger by crossing reclines. Hence, sanctions can only be resulted to in attempts to weaken Russia but still, its a matter of national interest for some as you can see, that isn't going so well. With India buying crude products off Russia at this point.
