In my opinion if there will be a minimum ethereum transactions used by metamask to filter the airdrop participants. I mean you can imagine when metamask was issuing billion tokens and it can be airdropped into so many metamaskusers but yeah this must be based on ethereum network. I think that there are some criterias to receive the metamask airdrop to filter it from the so many spam wallet.
The requirements will be quite similar with the airdrop by another platform.
I think that there will be a very strict requirement for that.

It will better if metamusk launch there own token like uniswap but if they distribute token to 30M active wallet according to your post information then many scammers will get huge token and they will become rich . around 80% people from crypto users use malti wallet from metamusk . i think they should distribute airdrop token to must activate and min a requirement amount of transactions wallet.

I am sure that if there will be a airdrop for Metamask then it would be the activity of each wallet that can be the main gauge as to qualification and the quantity to be airdropped. Many people have talked on this last year and maybe there will really be one which hopefully I can be one of its many recipients though honestly am more active in Trustwallet than here. Certainly, this can be helping Metamask solidify its leadership in the cryptocurrency market and of course such a move can mean a windfall of possible profits to many of us.

Its kinda hard to know which way or method they will go but of course they already saw some of the airdrop processes of some dex and wallets out there and Im sure they will consider the criteria on how those users will be given rewards. But speculating it would be based on swap and the activity on metamask done by such wallet history. Who knows.

There is no way to know which method the metamask team are going to use for airdrop claiming but I can assure you that it's not going to be fair, they've already mentioned this in the past weeks or so, don't expect too much from this Airdrop.

It was unthinkable before if metamask could detect old users and how it worked, they must have embedded a certain recorder to filter that out. My assumption is that the address generated from the metamask will leave a trace. Even though I'm not very good at keeping privacy, this airdrop also means indirectly revealing that you used a metamask after I claimed the reward.

I think about metamask airdrop is notwith ethereum transaction but also with several participants ever swap on metamask site, have launch last several year with this transaction swap on metamask but looks not interested because not any exact date about airdrop distribution. I think every one ever make swap there on metamask will receive an airdrop coin but still not any confirmation yet what coin will received. Not clearly information about metamask airdrop because have running issues almost one year but still not have exact date when distribution begin.

Metamask analytical tools don't collect that kind of data[1]. Though I'm not sure about what data the default RPC collected, and also the swap feature. Maybe they will use a combination of it to whitelist the airdrop participants, somehow.

Also, I noticed that even it was already addressed in the [1] article, I see that they have changed from Matomo to Segment for event tracking. I don't which analytical tools currently have changed.

I have heard a lot about it since after the uniswap airdrop, Defi platforms kept growing and brought many other big airdrops into the space. Initially, there will only be a certain number of people who meet the criteria to be able to receive the airdrop. I think it could be the volume of transactions and the volume of transactions. Hopefully, I will also be able to receive this airdrop from Metamask.

It's not going to be what many expected it to be, I'm sure the team will give those early users the access to claim Airdrop for free not those that started using Metamask months back, many people won't be qualified for this Airdrop that's my believe.

Perhaps, Metamask will use something like Uniswap did before, which they give the airdrops to the active users that already use the wallets. It will not be easy to detect, but somehow, I think Metamask can do that as they will have a way to know which wallet always use their product. But it still needs time before they activate the airdrop and make sure that everything can run smoothly. While it is good news for Metamask users, I think they will still use Metamask besides using the other wallet.

Come on they can easily add new verification criteria to the wallet. Otherwise if you check the Gleam airdrops then they are the shittiest one and anyone can easily create multiple account and claim huge number of airdrops. Literally I have seen micro tasks on a website where I work and the advertiser ask you to perform the tasks and create airdrop using our social accounts but the BSC addresses are theres. So easy to screw the airdrop that way but unfortunately they just separate the accounts using email ID and social accounts which can be made easily.

However, company like MetaMask is huge now, they will surely add up additional step like OTP verification or may be Signing a message on the Device from where you are logged in. So I dont think this will be big deal for them.

I think the results will be based on criteria related to user interaction with the application. I don't think many people will get this airdrop, and it will probably be broadcast on the ERC20 network first, so in the previous period, only users who were willing to accept a high transaction fee from ETH will have a great chance to receive it. It will certainly be the long awaited coin. Perhaps we will soon see a new star in this space.

I also heard rumors about a airdrop of Metamask tokens in many different telegram channels many times now over the course of the last few months. So far i was never lucky to be part of the last few big airdrops that happened like the one from Uniswap, opensea or the most recent one from apecoin. If metamask is really doing an airdrop then i should be also getting some tokens this time and i would guess that this could be one of the biggest airdrops that ever happened because Metamask is the most common crypto wallet out there as far as i know, maybe not for mobile devices but definitely for the internet browsers, so if really hundreds of thousand people get an airdrop i am not sure if the sell pressure will not get to high.

30 million active users is a lot. If everyone is given 100 dollars, then this is already 3 billion. Either there will be a very strict selection of users for the airdrop, or the reward will be small, due to the large number of participants.

It looks like it will be the same as Uniswap, at least within 30 days the snapshot will have to have an active transaction (a specified value or there is a transaction minimum) to be eligible for the Metamask airdrop.
Airdrop models like this are actually good, usually they really succeed until some people get big assets from the airdrop,
it's just that it requires calculations and also capital.
As we know that transactions with the Ethereum network are very expensive, unless you really work for it, so please consider it.

We will have to see, for now it's under speculation, but it will be huge if they will actually do a airdrop. But the problem is that the timing itself, we are in a bear market so now sure if that is advisable to do the airdrop at this point.

Although who wouldn't want it though? I mean as the OP said, Metamask has a lot of users and potential users in the future.
