How to recover Trezor asset without the need to purchase a new one

Recently I just check my trezor in my storage and suddenly the screen doesn't working so I can't see the key pin to completely open it on trezor suite. I thought I will need to purchase a new one to recover it since most of the wallet recovery seed phrase standard was only 12 words. I just try my luck to import my 24 recovery seed phrase on metamask, Luckily it accepts my 24 seed phrase when I paste it. I thought trezor recovery seed phrase is only meant for trezor device. I hope this experience of mine will help newbie that got a defect trezor already.

PS: Don't store your trezor on place that temperature goes hot because trezor screen is very fragile on heat.

Metamask is an altcoin wallet, also know that your seed phrase and keys are no more offline, you have imported it on an online wallet and more vulnerable to attacks. If you have large amount of bitcoin, best to buy another open source reputed hardware wallet for safety. Know that having wallet on online devices is risky. The best advice is to move (send) your bitcoin to an address controlled by the private key of an offline wallet, like paper wallet or wallet on an airgapped device, example. You can then buy another hardware wallet.

Thanks for additional info. I badly needed the funds and send directly my balance on Binance and successfully convert into fiat. I know the risk that my private key will be exposed that's why I send immediately all my balance. I don't have that much money and also I dedicate this thread to newbie that suddenly have a defective trezor while they need the fund badly and no time to wait.
