Networks put up reruns instead of Biden's political speech

Several major broadcast networks ran reruns instead of carrying President Joe Biden's Thursday evening speech in which he characterized "MAGA Republicans" as a threat to democracy, according to Deadline.

Biden called large swaths of Republican voters "extremists" and accused them of "fanning the flames of political violence" in his Philadelphia speech, which focused heavily on former President Donald Trump. ABC, CBS and NBC chose other shows over the speech and Fox ran "Tucker Carlson Tonight" while MSNBC and CNN ran the Biden speech, according to Deadline.

"There's no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. And that is a threat to this country," Biden said. "MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies. Together, we can choose a different path."

NBC ran a "Law & Order" rerun, CBS played a "Young Sheldon" rerun and ABC ran "Press Your Luck," according to Deadline.

NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation's requests for comment.

In his latest televised interview he was talking about how inflation barely went up at all from 8.2% to 8.3%. I really think he doesn’t understand it and thinks that means prices were only increasing 0.1% because that’s how much the inflation rate went up. I genuinely believe he doesn’t understand even the most basic inflation reading. Whether that’s because he’s an idiot lifelong politician or he’s just suffered a massive cognitive decline, who knows.

He just gets told these things and repeats them thinking he’s doing a good job. I don’t think he realizes the only people who believe that are as financially illiterate as he is.

Biden is actually making a logical, simple point.  Inflation can be measured over periods of time other than a year.  And he also went into detail about how many products like food and homes and cars went up by more than .1%, but other things like gas went down, leaving us with a 0.1 consumer price index increase for August.  (That means inflation)  It's political spin, yes, but it's not irrational the way you've been told to think it is.

You can see the last two reports, 0 and 0.1 are clearly a sudden change from the previous months.  And it's a good change.

Sounds simple. But it is just complex enough that people don't understand. For example...

If you have a comb in your pocket, should government create policies to regulate your comb or how you comb your hair? It would be stupid for them to waste their time like that, but they have two choices, stupid or not:
1. Legalize and regulate combs;
2. Don't legalize and regulate combs; and repeal all laws that already legalize and regulate combs.

Get government out of it so that the people have easy freedom. After all, cannabis has been used for thousands of years without regulation. Why legalize it so that it can be regulated, now? Just get government out of it... and out of a whole lot of other things.

"But, but, but..." you say. "What about people who get high and hurt other people?" Here's what.

Government should advertise the dangers. Then, punish people who hurt others... "eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, and life for life." If people aren't smart enough to regulate themselves, especially when they see what will happen to them if they harm somebody after all the government advertising, then they shouldn't be around. Let them be punished for the damage they have done, and let their family take care of them.

I mean, they are going to die anyway, sometime. They simply expedited their own death process if they misuse cannabis or other drugs and die because of it. It's called freedom.
