I know that in Europe and US there are several schools/colleges that accepts crypto as payment but this in Dubai? i am not sure if they are the first in Middle east to accept crypto but at least this is a great act and assurance that there are schools that tries to finally adopt in crypto for the benefits of everyone , not just their student but also parents and the school itself.

While it will be possible to pay school tuition in BTC, transaction will be done using a 3rd party so in the end school gets fiat. It's a good news nevertheless and step forward but I think that is important to differentiate using 3rd party and paying directly using Bitcoin as its a completely different thing. Additionally, other schools are already doing that so its not like Dubai is first that is implementing that, like someone reading your post might think.

I visited Dubai last year and while I wasn't impressed with the city at all, I was surprised to see how many crypto professionals decided to move there for good. It's like a crypto sillicon valley at the moment.

While it will be possible to pay school tuition in BTC, transaction will be done using a 3rd party so in the end school gets fiat. It's a good news nevertheless and step forward but I think that is important to differentiate using 3rd party and paying directly using Bitcoin as its a completely different thing since other schools are already doing that'

Actially i am not thinking about how they take their payment or not. I am just thinking about how this addoption incourages those student who are from that school. They are able to learn about bitcoin and they will spread about bitocin which is a best part i think. BTW thank for shareing about your thought.

As for the fees, they seem quite typical for a high-quality education of a private school, and the fee is in line with the average for an international private school in Dubai. Although this wont influence significantly but the adoption will remain give a positive vibe in the market. They have educate people in the school to know more about crypto. Maybe there is still people who didn't know what is crypto because there's chance to pay in crypto, make them know about crypto indirectly. This is my simple thinking way.

That’s fine for the seeding activity throughout the school students and their parents. It won’t be global news I believe. To have greater extent of effect the news should read like this: “From now onwards all the schools and colleges in Dubai will accept bitcoin as payment option”.  That would initiate global impact but again it matters a lot how they will manage it and publish the news.

Anyways, I’m happy to see how different sectors and organization are at least thinking about accepting bitcoin in some way or other.

Absolutely Imran. My country(India) needs to learn something from it but first, they need to think about the crypto tax.

this has become an extraordinary topic with the theme that one of the schools in Dubai is planning to accept payments using bitcoin, but these things have been discussed very often how many companies or schools will accept payments using bitcoin but this is until now has never been realized as stated in the topic above.but if this can really be realized then bitcoin will be introduced by various groups of people, especially considering that the United Arab Emirates is a large country with very rapid economic growth.

Based on the article you shared, "The school has tied up with a crypto platform that converts BTC and ETH into dirhams." So is this adoption? Of course not, this is only an alternative where the school accepts payments and then exchanges them back into Dirham aka fiat. Here maybe you can conclude for yourself if you accept Bitcoin and ETH and then end up in fiat again.

Maybe the positive point that I take is in accordance with the final submission of the source that to introduce crypto payment methods so that one day the next generation will become more friendly to the digitalization era.

Adoption is by accepting bitcoin, and not converting it to the local currency.

• Many institutions accept bitcoin because it means more requests and it does not cost them anything
• Rarely find a school or institution that keeps bitcoin as an asset or against inflation.
• Dubai is a pioneer in coding, but it does not adopt ideas, but rather supports them, and therefore will support existing projects.

Adoption is slow in that area, but it's better than nothing.
