Welcome to BallyBall: A DAO-based story combining AI, NFT, gamefi and socialfi
BallyBall is a fair launched DAO-based experimental story that combines AI, NFT, gamefi, and socialfi elements. It was born of our passion for DAO and we are inviting everyone that shares the same dedication and belief in DAO to join this experiment and explore its potential with us.
What is BallyBall NFT?BallyBall NFT is an artificial intelligent NFT. Each BallyBall NFT can be fused with an Ethereum-based NFT avatar and serve as an AI agent in our AI battle royale game. BallyBall is our first story. Our vision is to create utility for as many PFP NFTs as possible and attach more economic value and social use cases to them, which is fundamental for our subsequent projects. What we aim to establish eventually is a new AI ecosystem where people can live and interact.
Who’s behind BallyBall?BallyBall is created by UtopiaDAO. While explosive breakthroughs have sprung up in the crypto world, AI technology, for which we share the same enthusiasm as we have for DAO, has arrived on the cusp of a new revolution. We thus initialized the BallyBall project, incorporating all the concepts we are intrigued about.
How is AI involved in the project?AI is brought into the game as the first step of our AI living system building. It can eliminate cheating in the game which is of utmost significance as it ensures the realness of gamefi.
The BallyBall NFT will be known as an “agent” after training. The agent will go through a series of ‘trial and error learning and fighting during the training process, improving its intelligence, which is a completely different concept from the gameAI currently known to the public. The agent is trained through a Reinforcement Learning algorithm, namely Actor-Critic algorithm in our case, functioning as a coach, instructing the agent on how to perform in the game and optimize rewards. Why DAO a gamefi project?We are enthralled by the possibility of DAO. We envision that DAO will be a new paradigm of labour division and cooperation, which is a self-organizing structure that strips people of their social attributes, breaks down spatial conditions, and is truly supported and anchored by spirit, self-motivation and moral self-awareness rather than by authority and social punishment mechanisms.
However, DAO is still faced with some unresolved issues when it comes to working on and running a vertical product. Though products built upon web3 values, abounding with the classical beauty of the idyllic cottage gardens, have so far not been chasing after the skyscraper-style integration trend to an extreme like web2 organizations of a corporate nature, essential vertical market needs and internal integrated teamwork are still indispensable. We are taking up that challenge and are hence attempting to run this vertical internet product as DAO.
We are building our DAO on two primitive consensuses:
- To connect and coalesce NFT communities, bridging up as many NFT projects as possible and expanding the possibilities for value and utility creation in NFTs.
- As mentioned above, with great curiosity, we will operate a project, which has quite a few vertical product requirements under the web2 framework, as a DAO.
We are launching the project as a DAO and will remain DAO throughout the whole operation process. We will hand over the whole project and relevant smart contracts to the community when the project is on track.
What sets apart BallyBall and other projects?We concentrate on developing a metaverse world where 24-hour living AI agents are the basic existence; that is, a world where real players and living AI beings co-exist and are closely knitted with the DAO community. We aim to build a world independently of the real one: it comes with its own politics, economy, entertainment, sociality, and above all, brand new self-identity and citizenship--a utopia.
BallyBall is laying the groundwork for that blueprint, it is our very first step to this interconnected and interoperable world. BallyBall is a project that will develop and evolve heavily based on the collective input and governance of the members of its owner UtopiaDAO. We look forward to seeing a self-governing DAO community come into shape, pooling knowledge from global talent, incubating and scaling new ideas, and running the project without the interference of a rigid structure.
What is an Original BallyBall NFT?An Original BallyBall NFT, being the utmost prominent part of the project as it symbolizes our philosophy, is the governance NFT for UtopiaDAO. It is not a PFP-Fused NFT like the ordinary BallyBall NFT.
An Original BallyBall bestows governing and voting rights on its holder. Holders will be able to decide the future steps of BallyBall and will enjoy exclusive benefits or privileges for future airdrops. As we realize our philosophy of fair launching, handing over the entire project and its contracts to the DAO community, and start building a more in-depth AI living community, Original BallyBall holders will exert more major control over the development of the project. Original BallyBall will always be the first principle for the future narrative of our Utopia.
Original BallyBall can also be used in the game and comes with randomized rarity, attributes and skills. Owners can unbox their Orginal BallyBall after minting their Original Blindbox at our NFT launch. While there is currently no definite limit on the amount of ordinary PFP-Fused BallyBall NFTs, Original Blindboxes will only be minted at the first NFT launch and no more Original BallyBall shall be minted after that.
Will there be a whitelist for the NFT launch?Whitelisting is supposedly used to incentivize community engagement but more often than not this has now turned into a "grind for whitelist" meaningless activity for most people. We are looking for like-minded members to join our community so we are giving each and every individual a fair shot at the NFT launch and will not use a whitelist approach in the NFT sale. However, we do reserve a small percentage of Original BallyBall for giveaways and marketing purposes.
What is the future of BallyBall?BallyBall is just the beginning. We will continue to apply the latest technology in AI to create 24-hour self-evolving living AI agents. And we will bring together, with the community members who hold the same consensus as we do, our own utopia that belongs to the crypto community and many NFT communities.
Where the future goes is unknown. We do not know what will eventually be born of the merger of AI agents and some of the coolest inventions in crypto history, e.g. NFT, DAO, gamefi, socialfi. Neither do we know how UtopiaDAO will evolve. But we are putting all our heart and soul into making it happen because this is bigger than us. Just as our slogan says, let NFT, AI, and our community:
“Just as living beings.”
