That's truly a very important topic because unfortunately no one will teach them such thing in the schools, so its for us to rise awareness about bitcoin and crypto and make the new generation aware about bitcoin and blokchain technology

My nephews know how to use their money and spend them wisely, but they have been inquiring about crypto lately because it has been popping out of Youtube ads for quite some time now, though I think this is not the right time for them to know about crypto just yet. They still have to learn a lot about the basics of money and how to keep them, before they move on to harder topics that could help them later on. It's an important topic but not so important that they should skip the basics.

Children on these days are very intelligent and curious in learning new things, so I see no reason why they won't want to spread the good news around to the kids.
Teach the but their should also be a limit to what you tell and teach them.

Schools don't teach you real life skills, Do they teach how to get financially stable ? No! Do they teach you how to handle your business and money management ? No!
Them this are the little things we can start doing for them, don't find them toxic as they will get to see them ahead in the future, do you ever imagine you can not be with them, it's life you come and you go!

I have no problem with schools, but since they won't do this, it's best we as guidance and parents do this for them, I wrote a similar topic about this also in the beginners and help board.

Many times I had come accoss this topic, the simplest way to understand this was easy.We need to teach the kids above 14 about cryptocurrency.Because it was not clear to the new kids below. They don’t clear with money making principles at the age of 14.They will know how to spend money with their friends.Because they are just playing kids and not a experienced traders

When they grow up and have enough awareness will be the most appropriate time. At 14, I still don't think it's appropriate to teach them finance or invest in bitcoin. They should not be taught to invest because they are not yet aware of how risky investing is. 18 years old will be most suitable when reaching adulthood and finishing high school. This is the time when children should step out of their parents' comfort zone to become adults.

This reminds me of my friend’s child who is just 11 years old but willing to explore BTC, NFT, play to earn, etc. If I’m going to have a family one day, I would teach my kids early about Bitcoin and any other related stuff. Of course, one easy gateway in doing that was to getting them involved into play to earn games, NFTs, etc.

I agree with the older they get the more they might take it serious. I tried to teach my son @ about 15 years old about bitcoin and even got him to invest in LTC because it seems more reasonable to him (to own at least 1 of something), but he simply isn't interested and I don't think many young children are able to think long term like this. Then he sold it fairly quickly within a couple of months. Fast forward several years later, as an adult he's still not interested and can't force anyone to want to know about things, but I tried!

Exactly what I see to my kid that is more interested in playing roblox. I'm gonna make them interested to Axie or probably a blockchain game that doesn't require yuge amount of money to play around. Something similar to Roblox I guess will make them interested. Its something to wait for and I hope there are developers working on it.

Maybe one day the kid will realize that trading his earnings from the game can also be an optional job to make money. I don't even need them to learn about privacy, I just need them to make money on their own. Not rely on someone.

I don't have a kid yet but reading shared ideas of our co-members here made me realize that kids nowadays are more keen observer on the technology around them, they are more engaging to the continuous development of technology and that also includes a young ones now are more likely wanted to earn money even in their young age. So, I have also realized I'm lucky that I know what crypto is and that I have something relevant and important I can teach my future kids, I, personally would definitely going to teach my kids about cryptocurrency.

Exactly. He still wants to play games at his adult age. I think even having them save money in a piggy bank is a possibly good test to see if they can save. Because at one point they will be tempted to find some way to dig out the coins. That is a test if they are patient enough to hold onto something. Teaching them about some technology and them not being able to use it in terms of thinking of saving it for the far-future, just isn't that interesting to them, unless they are really math/programming and science inclined. In that case they can probably learn a lot on their own. I am not saying this because I don't think it's a good idea, just saying even a school can't make a child interested in subjects they aren't interested in, and maybe the real lesson to be learned is how to think long term and save money. Maybe some kind of saving plan would help like = Invest 1 dollar every week in this piggybank (or BTC) and in 100 weeks you can cash out half to buy something. I just thought of that on the spot but it's just an idea. I believe if they aren't patient enough to follow along with a savings plan that they won't see the point, since almost everything in this world is teaching them to chase things with instant gratification (gamification) and instant results.

The dream of every successful businessman or woman is to have a good successor.

bitcoin is not a company and not a business, it is a high risk asset

you can not be in the light in which bitcoin has brought you to and allow your children to suffer because you failed to teach them the secret behind your wealth. Let your kids know that bitcoin is the surest way to financial freedom, teach them now that bitcoin is of more value than fiat currency, educate them about the importance of bitcoin to mankind, let them know that bitcoin has changed the economy of countries who saw the light in it and adopted it as a means of doing transactions.

as I said before bitcoin is a high risk asset and it would not be prudent to teach children how to use bitcoin knowing that children still have no idea of the real world, they dreamed of being rich and could even steal money to put in bitcoin or they could get into depression if they buy bitcoin at price X and then the price drops a lot and they lose money even though they still don't have bitcoin to sell they will be at a loss. child has to be taught things at their age and when they are of age they can be taught about bitcoin

I am an uncle to 3 amazing boys ages 5, 8 and 13. They’re  all pretty well informed on crypto currencies and the blockchain. In my opinion, I think it’s easier to explain to children about crypto than fiat because the Trezor as a concept is quite visual for children to grasp.
I mean trying to explain the insanity of the federal reserve is probably harder to teach them. I’m very impressed with those boys, they’re so smart and already understand so much about finance.

Yes, I have only one baby. And I have always kept him informed about this crypto industry. I have been working in this crypto industry for the last three years. I know about the potential of this technology that in the future this same technology is going to spread everywhere. This technology is the future and I have full knowledge of it. Based on that, it would be foolish for me not to inform my child about this technology. So I always wonder what happens in this crypto world. I am always giving her information for her, so I give her this information with the intention that her future will be better, safer and higher. So I want you to tell your kids about it too

I have my baby still 6 months and I will tech them when have over age, never worry about teach your kids with bitcoin and altcoin as investment because our kids can learn and will be better from us how to manage with bitcoin and altcoin as investment assets, but I will looking how my kinds soul, have he like with cryptocurrency world or not. We can't push our kids what we want but give the choose which one know, are them interested with bitcoin and altcoin or not? before teaching them about cryptocurrency as investment assets. I think not bad when teaching our kids how to learn with bitcoin maybe they can get much profit than us and have way how to be success at the future.

It's really nice to teach them about the crypto industry and the freedom of their money when it comes to their wealth and inheritance but they need to learn the introduction first before you gonna teach them directly about bitcoins and other crypto staff. We need to tell them the importance of holding your own money and keeping it safe and you totally have all the privilege of withdrawing it because you are the only one holding the key after that, we will tell them about bitcoins and the importance of having it in our life. We also need to tell them the danger and risk of putting all our money into banks and others like it.

It's a very good thing to teach our kids about crypto currency, it'll help the younger generation to be financially stable/independent and at a very young age too.

But as we know, to every advantage, there's also a disadvantage, while letting the young ones trade themselves, giving them close monitoring to avoid certain attitudes.

Crypto is the future and therefore children should be taught about this digital currency. It is not only about bitcoin and currency, they should be taught about blockchain technology.
Blockchain technology can be used in many areas and it is not only limited to currency. Crypto and blockchain should be part of the academic Syllabus.

A thirteen year old kid will be on the eighth grade in my country. An eighth grade student will be learning about the basics of math and science. Learning finance is not a simple thing, maybe visual learning will interest students towards it.

As per my understanding at this age they can be introduced to cryptocurrency, but very few get the real knowledge about it. At this age most of the kids will be much interested into gaming, so we can direct them towards play to earn games. This will surely interest them to earn and through that one can be made to understand what is bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

i like your point of statement, teaching kids bitcoin in early life, it will help them for loving cryptocurrency and know other things of cryptocurrency with their own personal research which will make them to do better than their teach when their are up to adults, i have seen a mechanic man who taught the son how to fix a car, and after been free from the father to establish his own and his work shop is moving well than the father's own, because it started early to learn mechanic

A cool idea would be to deposit some BTC every month for your Childs savings account, that you can transfer when they are older or understand enough. Meanwhile they can monitor the account and see how it grows.
