I am amazed at many of today's big brands getting into the Metaverse, gaming and NFT and not just to enhance their brands actually but to also make good amount of money with their digital creations. There can be a time when a digital Nike shoe can cost x10 than its real counterpart. Soon, we can see many competing brands building their own presence in the Metaverse industry bringing along innovations and opportunities at the same time. And, just like the rest of us, I am excited for this kind of future.

Sounds like another firm just jumping onto the bandwagon for their own purposes and profit margins.

It is clear that Nike is going to see a decline in sales likely after this generation of indoor-dwellers, so this is sort of their hedging strategy against that eventuality.

To be honest I fail to see any value-add that is presented by this strategy other than for Nike themselves. Be very cautious with any collections they may mint in the near future.

Indeed! Most of the projects now are just follow-based hype and the whitelisting requires all of its community to be active -- which is kinda the same idea as buying reviews on review sites or buying audiences on twitch. These NFTs now are just being bombarded with degen traders/flippers as well where they would only buy low for a profit whilst some whales would still be holding it for years regardless of the decrease of the floor price. This requires more Diamond Handed people than in ICO or token offerings as this isn't still the mainstream but rather a 'space' of undergoing tons of improvement and implementation in real life cases.

On the contrary, I think that NIKE did the right thing and bought a well-known company that works with the NFT. It is better to be the first in your field than to invest in risky assets. The company has a large community and a lot of money, and they will have no problem promoting this project.

               This is pretty amazing but not something out of the ordinary considering the increasing amount of NFTs and NFT creators popping out of nowhere every now and then. Eventually, brilliant minds will be able to capitalize on this and thus the emergence of a wide variety of good quality NFTs that brands can make use of. And wirh the increasing numbers of people aiding the mass adoption of the crypto industry, we can expect even more of such collaborations and phenomenal works in the near future. We are entering a new age and we are the early birds.

I do not deny that the metaverse will have a bright future and will occupy an important place in the blockchain world. NIKE's virtual reality app is an enterprise tool that has the potential to become a huge success in the world of blockchain technology. As one of the biggest companies and brands, NIKE is deploying VR technology, which will use blockchain as a platform. we will see how technology develops. But in my opinion, it will happen and need a process to be mass-adopted.

The crypto space does not revolve around btc alone anymore, blockchain provides a whole lot of opportunity and people want to explore that opportunity by being creative. Metaverse is an interesting virtual reality that has opened a whole new virtual world connecting people together digitally. NIKE is a big name in the metaverse space so am not surprised about this news. To me, I think investing in projects launched by big names like NIKE totally worth it. It doesn't matter if it is for marketing or not because they will create something with great utility.

I also have an optimistic view of the future of NFT and metaverse but you should not put too much faith in them and you shouldn't blame them either because the current market is not good and there is no such thing as a good coin at the moment, everything is falling apart not just nft .
The NFT does not have many applications yet, most of them are simply hype. Investing in NFT is considered to be a risky, so please consider carefully before investing.
