I know there's a dedicated thread which is the 2022 NBA Season, but this thread's purpose is very specific. The purpose is for me to gain opinion from the posters on which team I should bet that the majority of you here think would win the NBA Finals. Knowing there are experts here, I'm confident I would get the best advice on which I should risk my money to gain value at the current odds.

I'm using sportsbet as the reference of the betting odds.

Here is the list of betting odds.

1- Suns > 3.80
2- Bucks >6.50
3- Nets >7.00
4- Warriors >8.50
5- Celtics >10.00
6. 76ers >10.50
7. Heat >11.00
8. Memphis >17.00

Everyone is welcome to give their opinion. So please post away.

In terms of value, I think the Grizzlies have one of the best odds even without their starters we saw how they can still beat good teams like the Suns, they have the firepower to go all the way but at the same time, they might not make it that far as they barely have any playoff experience unlike the other teams they'll be going against. I remember back then the Nuggets used to have one of the top seeds but they failed to reach the conference finals.

If I have to place some money on a team i'd take the Suns, the odds aren't that great but it makes sense as they're pretty much set up to go for another finals run and possibly take it all the way. The only worrying part is the injuries I remember some teams are expected to have a deep run but their chances suddenly diminished due to injuries while playing.

This is very timely because the playoffs are approaching, it's a good idea to put your bet early so you can take advantage of the great betting odds.

For me, I find the value on the " Nets >7.00"... that +700 which you don't usually get for a team that is composed of a real superstar.
We are lucky to have that odds because they were ranked below, but comes playoffs time, things would be different as the more experience team will always have the upper hand in terms of success.

Add a poll maybe.

I still go with the favorite, the Phoenix Suns, yeah they lost to the Grizzlies in their last game without Ja Morant, but came playoff, it will be a different atmosphere as it will be an series and not just a game.

And I think the Suns having had a better experience since they have been in the finals before so for sure they have learn a lot of things from it that's why they are the best team in the NBA.

I can spend a few dollars to bet for the Grizzlies for that @17 odds, they are a true contender for the trophy right now so they are worth the bet for me.

I'm not a fan of this kind of betting TBH because, in the playoffs, teams are so fragile, I mean an injury to its star player could ruin their chance to be in the Finals, just like what happened to the heavy favorite last season, the Nets.

I will go with team that has big wins on this season such phoenix, heat and of course memphis because they all have good performance this season.

But if i necessary to pick one, probably i will choose memphis since their history is good and most of their gameplay is very different compared to other teams so that's why it's not shocking they have big odds as well IMO.

A lot of things can happen, just like last season where many thinks that Phoenix will take home the championship but the result is different. Despite of this, they continue to shine this season and I still believe that they will do better this time and they will make sure to take the title this season slowly but surely, the up coming playoff can be a good start from them, despite of the odds I believe Suns will become a champion this season, i'll go all in for this team if they are able to enter next round.

With Chris Paul's addition to Suns Roster, I’m sure that they will not gonna choke this time whoever they will face this time around. The current Roster of Suns is very versatile and complete since they already have a leader that can make them think positive when they are in pressure in game. This is there problem last time when they fight Bucks in the finals. They start to struggle when they can’t sto Giannis but Ayton is now good as centers so he is pretty solid inside the court.

The current betting favorites to win the 2021-22 NBA championship are the Phoenix Suns with +300 odds. They're followed closely by the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, and Boston Celtics to make up the top five on the odds board. Things can change fast so keep track of the latest NBA Futures before you bet on the NBA Finals. Well, you can check this site https://okbet.com if you're interested to bet hahaha. I'm a great fan of GSW though haha. Grin Grin

I am not an expert, but I sure know a thing about NBA teams and the current standings, and right now if we look by each conference we look at who's currently at number 1 but let's just get the teams that are currently on the 4th spot of each conference and for the Eastern Conference we have the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and the Philadelphia 76ers, While on the Western Conference we have the Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, and Dallas Mavericks, and for these teams, I can say that you can pick on these 8 teams and wait for the Semi-Finals before making your decisions,

But I will be biased here I say the Golden State Warriors will be the Champion, I am saying this because that is what I truly believe, even though Stephen Curry can not play right now the Golden State Warriors are still in a good play, even though they lost to the Celtics, Spurs, Magic without Stephen Curry they are not used to play without him but that will surely change with the changing game style of Jordan Poole, and Poole is playing on an all-star level, and along with Klay Thompson, Curry is not worried when he in-out, and that injury of Stephen Curry may become a blessing in disguise he surely needs a lot of rest before the playoffs and from that standpoint, a well-rested Stephen Curry is more efficient in shooting, so the Warriors needs to learn to play without Stephen Curry until he returns on April 12.

I see the improvements of NETS this year, and I believe they can get the championship this year but first they have to win the Play in Tournament and again in playoff if ever they win, they will face Bucks again which is the one who eliminated them in the playoff last year. This year format is really exciting, we can see teams fighting for the spot and with NETS, I’m confident that they can go to the finals for this year, this is my faith with them.

I have two in my mind, it's either Bucks or Warriors. The favorite is Suns but the same unexpected fall may happen to them but it's also possible that this is until they get the trophy until the finals.
So, if it's only one, I think that I'll take that gamble for Bucks for the possibility of being a back to back champion.

This is what I want to read. An analysis about what may possibly happen not just a guess which team will win. And if you will bet on Golden State, the odds is quite tempting if you truly believe that they can make it. And I do agree, it is better to wait for Semi-Finals so you will remove some of those teams which may not include in vying for the championship. So yes, let's wait for the Semi-Finals. The odds may change but at least you have a better chance of winning.

Basketball is a sport in itself when you consider who is favorite to win a championship. I often have the feeling that surprising results come forward more easily than with football, for example. Every year it is also a penny change at the top. It is also divided into different regions, actually you should organize 1 big competition to make it fairer than all those different conference groups. I don't really understand why this was chosen.

Its good to see Warriors back in the Playoff, I know they are off in the past years but this year I’m confident that they are one of the contender and they will go to the finals. Despite of not being the top favorite, I still see Warriors to get the championship again, this is my team for this year and I’ll watch their every game from now on.

Are you going to choose only one? I prefer to bet on two teams for better chances.

First choice is where I bet more money and that would be Bucks. I think they are still the team to beat in the Eastern conference and most likely to reach the Finals again. That gives a 50% chance to become the champ again.

Second choice is where I bet a smaller amount and that would be the Grizzlies. I can see them as a dark horse in a highly competitive Western Conference.

Honestly, even NBA experts, analysts,s, and professionals will have a hard time analyzing who will be the NBA champion this season. The ball is round and you can "expect the unexpected" like what happened last season where only a few think that Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks will meet in the Finals.

What responses you will read here is more on self-preferences, self-opinions, and the most reasonable, being a fan of that team.

Anyways, to give you some input, I've put some bets on Grrilizies @17 and on my long-time Favorite team in the league, the Dallas Mavericks @25, as always every year, even at their worst. See what I'm trying to say here? These teams are not Finals-bound teams every season but I disregard those top teams because that's my own preference.

Bottom line, I doubt our picks can help you decide on which team you have to bet on. You have to choose on your own based only on your preferences. Smiley

I'll go with two of the most favorites teams, the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. They have quite impressive odds to win in this NBA season. However, things may go unexpected when the final game starts. It may be Bucks who has made two NBA titles, who knows?  But whoever wins this season, i'm sure the team's hardwork and perseverance has paid off. There must have been a great chemistry that creates a great team, and that makes them a champion.

It's not good to base on others what team you have to pick to win the NBA Championship. I consider that question as "when Bitcoin will reach $50,000 again". As a regular poster on the NBA thread, you should be able to analyze on your own.

The NBA is just approaching the Playoffs and there's a chance that teams in the low standing can upset the top teams. The NBA today is not the same as before where dominant teams are limited to only 3-4 teams and it's quite easy to have a pick. Even those team in the 7th and 8th spot has the chance to beat those on the top.

Warriors, Suns, Nets, or even my choice, Milwaukee Bucks, I don't consider these teams to have a high chance to win the title this year but since betting should be made beforehand, I'll go with the Milwaukee Bucks as I also placed a bet on them last year.

Last year they did reach the finals so we can see that they didn't choke but improved this year. And as long as they are healthy they could still go to the finals this year.

But you can't take away anything for the defending champion, I think the Bucks are going to make a run again as Giannis is resting and ready for the playoff. And with that said, Bucks could have a good chance again this year.
