Hi
since more than a month i'm not able to make any transaction in my blockchain dot com wallet, each time i try to send or transfer funds i get this pop up''your bitcoin transaction failed to send, please try again''
All my funds are stuck in the imported bitcoin adresses i can't even make a transfer to the default wallet.
Could you please help i'm lost.
Thank you so much
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

How did you import the address into your wallet?
Did you use its private key or you imported the address itself?

If you imported the address and you didn't import the private key, now you have a watch-only address and that's why you can't make any transaction.
If you imported the private key, it can be due to a bug in blockchain.com wallet. Their wallet is so buggy and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case.

Anyways, if you have the private key of the imported address, you can import it into another wallet like electrum and make your transaction.
Note that if you have already imported its private key into blockchain.com wallet, you should be able to export it.

I haven't used blockchain[dot]com for years so not sure what's causing the problem or how to fix it from the platform itself.
But since you said it' an imported address then I suppose you have access the addresse's private key! If that's the case then try to import it into a better wallet such as Electrum (make sure to download it from the official website: electrum.org), then create the transaction and broadcast it from there.

If you imported the address and you didn't import the private key, now you have a watch-only address and that's why you can't make any transaction.
@Redmalak: this is often used to scam people. It works like this: someone else creates a wallet at blockchain.com for you, or someone tells you to import an address before you received funds from them.
If that's the case, you most likely got scammed. If you created the address yourself (for instance on a paper wallet), you can use the private key to access the funds. Be careful when handling private keys, don't just do things before you understand what you're doing (and don't share private keys with anyone).

If you imported only an address into blockchain.com's wallet, it can't export the private key.
If you have the private key, you can import it into Electrum directly when you create a new wallet and choose "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys".

Your imported address(es) are not backed up by your seed phrase. Your seed phrase can only generate addresses belonging to your HD wallet.
If you have the private key, as mentioned by LoyceV, you should create a new wallet in electrum and select "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys".

Note that you need to add a prefix to specify the address type when importing the private key into electrum.

If your address starts with 1, use the prefix "p2pkh:".

Code:
p2pkh:YourPrivateKey
If your address starts with 1, you can also enter your private key without any prefix.

If your address starts with 3, use the prefix "p2wpkh-p2sh:".

Code:
p2wpkh-p2sh:YourPrivateKey

If your address starts with bc1, use the prefix "p2wpkh:".

Code:
p2wpkh:YourPrivateKey

do i have to set up another electrum wallet to export the private key
Yes.

On your Blockchain.com wallet:
  • Go to "Wallets and Addresses" from the drop down menu at the top right
  • Find your imported address, click on "Manage" and then "Private Key"
  • Accept the warning
  • Copy the private key displayed in WIF format

On Electrum:
  • Create a new wallet
  • Select "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys"
  • Paste your private key and hit next
  • Set a password

You should now have an Electrum wallet containing a single address.

Note that you need to add a prefix to specify the address type when importing the private key into electrum.
Blockchain.com only generates legacy addresses from imported private keys, so this step is unnecessary.

Just a heads up, although a bit off-topic, when you import your blockchain wallet seed directly into Electrum, in most cases it will not recognize it as a valid seed and if it does it will generate a new wallet with addresses different from the ones you have on your blockchain.com wallet.
This is because blockchain.com follows the bip39 standard while Electrum has its own standard.
To import bip39 seeds into Electrum, make sure to tick the bip39 checkbox.

Do you still have the seed phrase from Blockchain?
If the seed phrase backup is your wallet from blockchain you did the right thing importing it to Electrum should show your wallet by enabling BIP39 and using the right derivation path.

I suggest you read this one on how to import blockchain seed phrase to Electrum wallet from this link below

Take note of the addresses you have from the Blockchain wallet if it is a legacy or segwit wallet because they have different derivation paths.

The seed phrase can be easily exported from blockchain.com wallet, but it can't be used for recovering the fund.
OP is referring to an imported address which is not backed up by the seed phrase. OP should import the private key of the address into electrum.

He shouldn't import his address into Electrum because all that does is it creates a watch-only wallet that he can't spend from. He needs to import his private key/keys or if he has a recovery phrase. More importantly, he should forget about buggy web wallets like blockchain.com and at least install Electrum that works as advertised.

Thank you Pmalek for pointing that out. I meant to say he has to import the private key of his address and this is why I asked him if still has access to it. As you said, importing the address will create a watch-only wallet and he won't be able to sign transactions so this doesn't solve his problem.
Just edited my post and fixed it, thanks.

1-Do i have to sweep my private key to empty the blockchain.com wallet from funds
You don't have to. But it's recommended to do so.
Blockchain.com is a close-source wallet and we don't know whether your private keys are stored in their server or not. So, it's better to move your fund to a new wallet with a new seed phrase.
Create a new wallet in electrum. You can either make a transaction to one of addresses of your new waller or sweep your private keys.

2- Lets say if i want to move the funds again from electrum to Exodus how i can do this
That's very easy.
You can go to send tab and make a transaction to the address generated by exodus. But I don't recommend to do so.
Electrum is open-source and is much more secure than Exodus. It's better to keep the fund in the wallet generated by electrum.
