This is a good development and we expect good fights from now on because Bitcoin bonuses will be awarded to the three standout athletes at each UFC pay-per-view event as voted for by fans across the world. Crypto.com will be the one to pay the bonus and this will enhance the usage of Bitcoin of course awareness comes to it looking forward to other organizations using Crypto.com services to reward or pay their athletes and officials. Do you think the majority of athletes not only from UFC will be happy to accept their bonus by Bitcoin?

They need someone to really teach the athletes to learn the benefits of BTC or just give them the option to receive stabecoin instead. Otherwise the athletes will blame crypto.com if the value of the BTC goes down. Having the stablecoin, they will still have the chance to trade it to BTC when they change their minds. I believe the crypto.com will pay them thru the crypto.com app, right?

In this article, I saw that they have an opportunity to be paid in crypto. I'm not sure how it will affect the overall market but having more people aware that there is a cryptocurrency and more people are going to be exposed to it. Maybe more and more people would be accepting cryptocurrencies as a whole. I doubt people would be opting out of it because it's a great opportunity since it's just their bonus.
Maybe they can wholly accept their cash prize in cryptocurrency rather than just USD in some time.

Since it's just a "bonus", I don't think there's much to complain about it. Converting it to fiat if needed shouldn't pose that huge of a problem for them imo, and I don't think they have to worry about it's value if they were to convert it to fiat immediately. Maybe have some of their managers handle that issue, ask the athletes what they really want and then let the managers handle the specific details themselves. As for being happy or not, well, it is a bonus, pretty sure most of them would be happy whether it was in cryptocurrency or not.

Well, we should be expecting UFC fighters for good fights but not because there is a possible bonus waiting for them but because their future is going to be brighter with each great win. Everybody in the UFC must be dreaming of becoming a champion and a superstar someday, not only because that would make them a popular celebrity but because there's money in it. Being a mediocre fighter in the UFC would not only pay less but also become the reason for nonrenewal of contract.
Anyway, Crypto.com is not stopping in finding ways to promote crypto. I admire their efforts.

I think crypto.com has already done it's share promoting bitcoin to athletes already and it's just a matter of time before any other companies and or sports athletes are going to pay and accept bitcoin and other cryptos.
So why not? athletes are good investors as well (not all of them), so maybe they are willing to accept it in the future because they know that chances are high crypto's are going to continue to rise in the future, so win-win for them.

This is not much of a concern. I'm pretty sure they will be briefed by representatives of crypto.com before they receive their bonuses. Most of these fighters probably heard about bitcoin, doge, NFTs, and Metaverse. ~ I believe the crypto.com will pay them thru the crypto.com app, right?
Most likely yes. It would not make sense to partner with UFC and give bonuses to fighters who won't register with their platform. That's part of their advertising.

Why not they should be happy to accept Bitcoin as their bonus it's a bonus and most importantly its Bitcoin, they can keep their bonus in their wallet or favorite exchange and watch it grow double triple or ten folds in the future, if an athlete is fully aware of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency, he'll likely invest and happy to accept Bitcoin, it's the best bonus they can get.

Why is this thread in the Gambling discussion forum? The thread is about marketing and advertising, rather than gambling.Crypto.com is not a crypto casino/sports betting platform and there isn't any discussion about sports betting here. I admire the fact that the Crypto.com team are doing everything they can to promote their company and cryptocurrencies in general, but I would never become their customer. Companies like Crypto.com and Coinbase are nothing different than the fiat banks. They are centralized custodial platforms, that can scam you anytime they want.

Not a big deal this small bonus is going to attract huge traffic towards the platform hope the Bitcoin will be paid after the basic knowledge acquired by the respective player who is going to win or else they may lose their earnings to the hacker or even to the wrong address. Hopefully we can see more cryptocurrency platforms will sponsor all the sports or atleast a part of it which will expose that Bitcoin is not a hackers money its for everyone.

The UFC is doing a good job running their business. They have since the very beginning. Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin and Matt Hughes all had high paying jobs with the UFC after they retired where they literally didn't have to do anything. Unfortunately, after being acquired by WME-IMG Hughes and Liddell were removed from their positions and Forrest was the only one left as he was the only one who actually showed up to work and did the job.
Dana paid out of his pocket for many medical procedures fighters have needed over the years. He covered the cost of Stefan Struve's heart surgery and for Leslie Smith to have tumors removed. He has also covered the cost for the surgery of trainers at tiger muay thai and in other cases I don't remember.
All major MMA promotions that competed with the UFC are gone now. Pride is gone, strikeforce as well, WEC, affliction. They all sold their business or folded. Only the UFC remains.
I hope people appreciate the good job Dana and the UFC does, without them MMA could have been dead a long time ago.

For exposure this good but surely those athletes that will received it will cashout it immediately to fiat as they are not familiar or they are more focus rather than investment. Although the amount is just minimal they should atleast implement a lock in period for the bonus so that will have time to think on what to do or DYOR in Bitcoin.
Maybe not, they would think why these sponsors gave Bitcoin for their bonuses, a curiosity will be born in their minds and the might be interested with them. It is just the bonus they say, and not the full payment for their job. I guess they could spare it and not cash it out, see for themselves where it would take them. This is an opportunity for them, nobody knows when these fighters will retire, and I bet they would be even thanking crypto.com later.

I'm sure the athletes and most of them are not aware of cryptocurrency and probably will sell it and exchange it to fiat but this is good for exposure knowing that the UFC fighters will receive Bitcoin, I don't think this would have a big impact to the market since UFC is not as big as football league and it is just an advertising and not something like making it legal in certain country or big company or government start accepting Bitcoin.

They should be enlightened and educated so they will know how to protect their bonus and know the potential of Bitcoin, they should read a lot of articles and videos about Bitcoin, I'm sure once they knew they will not dump it and will treat it as a long term investment, they are lucky to have Bitcoin as a bonus, people are working hard just to buy Bitcoin.

Hearing this I think the contestants may be reading alot about bitcoin and cryptocurrency by now and I doubt they don't already know about it. crypto.com is really coming into sports activities, they have been announced as part of the official sponsors of the world cup. This definitely means the face of cryptocurrency is now present in sports activities.

The fact is not all the players would be up for it since the value can go down and therefore they would most probably encash as fast as they can as well. I think that the value of bitcoins would most probably be dependent on the personal experience of the player reciving it as well. UFC is also adding pay per view bonuses and it would be dependent on the fan base as well therefore I think this might be an interesting event. This is supposedly the biggest sponsorship in the history of UFC as well. But many people are worried about the fact that it might have security issues.

Bitcoin bonus is a no turn down by any athlete. Since it's only bonuses that get paid in bitcoin it will definitely mean the earn their major pay in fiat so the volatility might not be much of a concern except for those who don't have good knowledge about crypto currency and it's price fluctuations. But for athletes with knowledge about bitcoin the will surely prefer their bonuses in bitcoin

5 Digits in BTC every event not their CRO. This adds the motivation to win.
After crypto.com has sponsored their shirts for months, none of these MMA fighters are unaware of cryptocurrency. they'd be glad to consider the BTC as investment. The bonus will make these MMA athletes strive hard to show to win the performance of the night.

This method or way does really tend to promote or have some exposure about Bitcoin and not stablecoins. If they would able to recieve bitcoin as a form of bonus then they wont really be complaining about it because on the time that they would win it then it would be automatically be converted on the time on what the price of bitcoin would be which means that this wont be an issue. Crypto.com is really that something aggressive when it comes to exposure of its company and together with Bitcoin which is something a really good initiative for the company for fastening up global adoption and recognition/exposure.They might not have able to pull off that FIFA sponsorship but they are looking for other ways just like having involvement on UFC.

Much sure that there are fighters that isnt fully aware on what crypto is and now that they had made out some initiative on adding up some bonuses which is really not part of their contract or something like that then it is indeed a thing which would motivate out and its not bad on striving just only one out of the 3 positions that they are requiring and amounts that been set isnt really that half bad either. This doesnt only give out bonuses or advantage for UFC fighters but this one also increases exposure with Bitcoin not only for those who know but also it creates curiosity around which do ends up on positive way.
