It might be that exciting but I'm just concerned about of what knowledge those fighters have about Bitcoin/crypto currency since they don't know yet how to use their wallet or not exposing their private keys to someone. I do not really see the benefits those athletes could receive by using stable coins, in that case they might as well just get their fiat and use it wherever they want.

However getting bitcoin could be an option for them, but if they do not know anything about it then they need to be instructed about the advantages and disadvantages of having an investment in bitcoin, that way they can take an informed decision and decide if they want to keep or even increase their bitcoin holdings or if they prefer to sell for fiat.

In this article, I saw that they have an opportunity to be paid in crypto. I'm not sure how it will affect the overall market but having more people aware that there is a cryptocurrency and more people are going to be exposed to it. I don't really get any factors that this move from crypto.com would negatively affect the market nor even the exposure of the cryptocurrency to the mass. I even don't think that using bitcoins for bonuses would even turn the market down as such prizes which is less than a btc cannot drastically pull down the price action of the coin regardless if they sell those way lower than they could have.
