But some people who don't have the basic skills or sufficient understanding of the sport will still place bets and some of those people feel that they want to test their luck. Maybe they won't have enough odds, but there are times when luck is on their side, which places random bets.

Why roulette? If the main idea is just to choose between 2 possible results, dice game is better because of lower house edge.
Dice is also simple compared to roulette, I believe dice is better than roulette for newbies.
