Forex is most difficult to manipulate as it deals with fiat issued by the government, but the government have the power to always devalue their local fiat currency but which would be as a result of what is happening to the country's economy.

About crypto, it depen. Bitcoin and high marketcap coins can be difficult to manipulate but as the marketcap is getting lower, the easier the manipulation, that is one of the reasons it is better to not go for new projects and low cap coins.

About stocks, it is as risky just like cryptocurrencies, it also depends on the marketcap of the stock and how reputable the founders are, people that have the largest shares can be able to manipulate.

In FX, except you're referring to the major trading banks; the ilks of Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Deutche Bank, and Bank of America in such capacity. But that doesn't mean manipulation is far from them. When that happens it's called trading against the market. It's a situation where market sentiments are viewed and major players decide to go the opposite direction of what majority of traders are doing. There are traders who often accuse trading platforms/brokers of doing that. We know the crypto story and how influential quantity hodlers are in projects. It's even worse with altcoins which are new in the market. In all, Forex Trading is highly regulated and can't be compared to what happens in the loose crypto space. I don't have a vast knowledge in stocks as I haven't considered it an area of investment. In my view stocks is analogue that grinds slowly and doesn't pump up adrenaline like the other two.

Nonetheless, I think it's safer to conclude that since these businesses are run and controlled by man there's bound to be a certain level of manipulation and back door dealings. In all.

Crypto > Stocks > Forex is what I would say from my experience. Commodities is something I have never got into, so cant comment much.

Crypto due to the lack of regulation is the easiest for any influencer or whale to manipulate. Stocks do have their dilution among different holders and therefore the bigger owners can manipulate the markets.

Remember that more volatility means more possibilities of multiplied returns as well as losses. If someone is seasoned in one, they should stick to that instead of trying to expand their portfolio.

All of them can be manipulated by their own whales.

That's why in every market, you can't flee with those bigger players and you get to play their game as well if you want to stay longer and be on a better spot just like them.

In crypto, it's a speculative market and truly it's very easy for those bigger players and whales to manipulate it. With such false news, many are buying it and is the cause for a massive and quick drop.

What makes manipulation easy is to control the supply and demand and the amount of freedom in the market to move.

Supply and demand in many cryptocurrencies is centralized and therefore easy to manipulate, especially if the currency has a very small market capacity.
The greater the market capacity, the more decentralized the distribution of currencies, the limited demand, and the decentralization of decision-making, the more costly currency manipulation is.

actually everything is inseparable from the whales, even in forex there is such a thing as a black market, where they are a collection of moneyed people who will move the market, but the effects are not as significant as crypto, but what is very visible here is for the cryptocurrency market, especially for a new project that will involve pump and dump actions, and that is the act of whales who buy and sell coins on a large scale. Manipulation in forex is minimal and just very few understand how it happens. IMO I believe big banks play a role in this or either they are aware of what is happening in the market and they trade against what you are seeing in the market. Usually when market goes in a direction for long unusually, I believe it is manipulated by big plays. Also banks have inside information earlier than the public and they act faster to run out with the profit, getting an ordinary trader stock inside. I also believe an individual can manipulate the market like if the federal reserve or other monetary agency in America, London or Australia is releasing a financial news, whatever the head of the department is releasing news item like NONFARM PAYROLLS, this news is very volatile and could be manipulative. Also, when Donald Trump was the president, I heard his tweet about the $ cause a huge panic in the FX market.

for me i think only crypto can be manipulated easily by whales since its not backed up by anything around the world compared to thus others what you've mentioned above, and that's why crypto is very known as a very risky investment ever since and before because even nowadays the manipulation of cryptocurrency is still very strong.

Forex can't be easily manipulated since its value depends the economy of the country so technically, there are no whales there that tries to manipulate its value. I can see that Stocks and cryptocurrency are more prone to manipulation, if you own big amount of money you can really influence the price and that's the job of whales aside from making money out of it. Manipulation will stay, so its better to learn how to ride with the trend and follow where the money is going, don't try to beat them because you can't.

But we have seen so many cases where foreign currencies have also been manipulated, the latest being the Russian Rubble. Look up and see what happened to the Venezuelan national currency. The Government there even tried to change the denomination of the currency twice or thrice but nothing worked

I’ve traded almost every market except maybe Soy beans, pork, bonds, yields, etc and what I’ve learnt is that almost every market is manipulated. Whether it’s big or small. It doesn’t matter.

And the degree of difficulty to trade it is also the same whether you are trading crypto, stocks or bonds. There is no market that’s easier to trade than another. Stocks are perhaps good if you hold them long term like a retirement account however most people trade them short term and lose money.

Manipulation is literal by product of news media, what is being taught to peeps, global impacts, severity of factors directly involved with those commodities. I mean, if someone just pays off pretty handsome money to most popular media around the globe then they can easily manipulate the market for commodities. Where everyone see the forecasts? Well, news channel is the first place in the morning you tune and see the index’s.

Yes it is hard but I think it’s not impossible if planned properly. Because in the background a whale could be whole institution. What Belford did? If you know then you know, rest is history.

Maybe I think crypto can be manipulated but it will depend on the coin. Back when the price of bitcoin was still very low, maybe the whales could manipulate the price, but now it may be difficult because the price of bitcoin is now expensive. Maybe the low priced coins could still be manipulated by the whales.

A certain asset being able to be manipulated by "whales" depends a lot less of the asset class but a lot more of the liquidity of the said asset. Like how a microcap stock can be far more likely to be manipulated compared to a cryptocurrency like bitcoin that has a lot of liquidity.

Maybe I think crypto can be manipulated but it will depend on the coin. forex also manipulated by whales group too, we ever see price move with high volatility only in few seconds or minute. they also could pay someone with popular influence to drive market as they want.

manipulators always occur in any market as long as they could generate profits here. cryptocurrency market maybe be best place for their action, alot coins have no strong fundamental so they will shake it till people panic and whales buy it.

It's the marketcap + liquidity, not the price. Cardano has a low unit price of $1.04(as of today) but it has quite a high marketcap and a good amount of liquidity; compared to a lowcap coin that could be priced at $100+(because of low supply).

Just curious about this one mate. Are you trying to say that if you are good at trading with crypto, it will not be applicable to FOREX?

I'm not too acquainted with Forex trading but lately, I'm planning to engage in this kind of trade but I have doubts because it may take a lot of time for me to educate myself about forex, and with you saying that we should stick to one, that adds to my confusion/doubt on trading with forex.

Whales are everywhere; you cannot escape. Because, we are witnessing pump and dump happening on every market; traders who are into commodities or forex markets will never complain about manipulations with cryptocurrency trading. Probably stock markets may not have regular manipulation due to various regulation kind of restrictions still pumps and dumps do happen there as well.

Yes, whales are too smart to convince rest of traders to support them for pumps and dumps. For example, they will pump till resistance-1 and after testing most traders will expect return back of trend but whales will pump till resistance-2 then most traders will assume about change of trend and will pump toward resistance-3 but in-between whales book profits by trapping everyone else. This is just one scenario where how whales exist on every market and we cannot understand their goals always in any market.
