Bet9ja the leading and most popular gambling platform in Nigeria 🇳🇬 have been hacked, in the last 3 days back user who mostly deals with sports betting have faced challenges and the hacker is making Ransome by it get released to the operator, rumor has it that the hackers of Russia 🇷🇺 origin but no proof on that yet.

Well, good luck to those who has account on that betting site and hope the hacker will shade some light to return it once again to the operators. I don't know how they can ensure no one would suffer when in fact it was hacked and no details if it will be returned to them, how ironic I guess.

I don't think it is a good idea to throw baseless rumors like this around. It could be anybody. If there isn't any proof, why would anybody think it is Russia? It is so stupid 20 years ago every terror act was done by Al-Qaeda and now Russia is the new Al-Qaeda.

Some casino gotten hacked? Russia did it.
Some bomb blew up somewhere? Russia did it.
Some guy died of heart attack somewhere? Must be a Russian spy.

I don't think it is a good idea to throw baseless rumors like this around. It could be anybody. If there isn't any proof, why would anybody think it is Russia? It is so stupid 20 years ago every terror act was done by Al-Qaeda and now Russia is the new Al-Qaeda.

I don't mean to make it sound as if the Russian Federation but just a hacker of Russia origin, I guess we should be well aware of the fact that every crime committed on the internet have it origin so from the news on social media the hackers identity and location seems to have been reviewed but not yet verified any ways because there is no official information about that but the have been speculation all around the social media and some unverified news channels.

^ It could be thrown and ignite a fire with this false rumor and I think this is not the right rumor.
The thing is that we should not spread this rumor if don't have enough proof.
Nevertheless, I just want to know how much has been total the amount has been hacked, and I feel pity for those who have a big amount left on that casino, this may serve as a lesson to learn, never left any big amount on the gambling casino wallet because they are not safe.

though there are some cases in the past that the hacker try to return what they tend to take but those are very limited chances an besides most of the hackers maintain the funds in the wallet they used for long time .

and this is a gambling site in which mostly the target of the hackers nowadays .

but lets not lose hope that there are only little victims from the players here .

I did not read in their article that there's a rumor that hackers are of Russian origin, you should post your source, not because Russia is invading Ukraine and they looked like a villain in the world we will accuse Russians of crimes like this without backing it until it is confirmed we should take out that rumor thing.
Anyway, the authorities are now investigating we will soon hear who really did this, I hope you update us more on this.

A visit to the betting site gives you this home page screenshot, which stated that the user has no access to their account in other words the site has been taken down by the hackers, millions of funds from a user's account will get compromised and the hacker may walk away in touched. This is the biggest hack in Nigeria's gambling history as even the government of the federation is aware of and approves its operation.
